painting briggs & stratton engine

how hot does a briggs & stratton head get and what temp. paint should i used the 2000 bar-q grill paint is to dull looking any suggestion thanks.

Just my opinion, but I would not paint the head. Is it cast aluminum?

If you paint it use flat black header paint as it will help dissipate the heat. Some paints and colors will hold heat in making the engine run hotter.
