Pallet fork length

   / Pallet fork length #11
I have the 42 inch Titan forks. I don't know if it's just me, but I have had them come disconnected 4 or 5 times and fall to the ground. No damage, always when nothing was on the forks. I bought them because the price was right, but I would not buy another one or recommend them to anyone, because I Don't fully trust them anymore.

See this thread. Others with TITAN forks had to add a shim because forks weren't made to spec. Adding this shim will probably tighten up your forks to fit your QA properly.

Yeah. But look at the size of your tractor!

Yep, but it will handle bigger, so I made the brush fork 54" wide, with 48" long tines:

Mine are 42"s and that's what I'd buy again.

I had 48 sold them and bought 42. With the 48 I punch a few holes in the barn

I think your mount for the forks was made out of specs. Titan did have an issue with this and has been corrected. I would contact them.

I read the thread. Can anyone tell me if Titan has since corrected the issues detailed?

Yes the problem has been corrected. I have a pair of 42" forks and have no problems. IMG_0594.JPG

Also consider visibility. My 42" are hard to see at ground level when spaced for a standard size pallet. I think I could just see the tips over the hood if they were 48".

I have found myself almost standing up to see my 42s, which poses a prob because the tractor won't move unless the switch is triggered in the seat.
