I cut 2 square holes in a sheet of plywood and slide the plywood over the forks so it lies on top of the forks but is held in place behind the "heel" of the fork. It creates a platform that is great for carrying things and best of all when you dump the plywood stays put.
It's become my most used implement.

I used to use a pallet but using this method the plywood lies right on top of the grade making it REAL easy to load anything onto it.
I'll post a picture if anyone is having trouble visualizing it.

I believe he means two holes cut so the forks can go through when the ply is vertical like the side of a crate. When the ply is all the way to the mast and the holes at the 90 degree bend in the forks the ply is lowered to horizontal so the holes are now at the vertical part of the forks and the rest of the ply resting flat on the forks. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

oohhh...the forks are L shaped...the forks i have do not have a vertical upright piece...that's why i couldn't picture how the plywood could slide over the horizontal and then lay flat...i've been using a pallet, less than desirable as it slides around and if you dump, whoosh! its gone...

Is there any way you could chain, strap or tie your pallet to your loader arms? That would keep you from losing it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

guess it's true a picture is worth 1000 words, give or take a few...

again, in my defense, i don't have uprights on my forks, that's why i couldn't picture it...yea, that's it...
