I bought a set of quick attach pallet forks from Titan attachments and sometimes the forks will disconnect from the quick attach. I'll have to open the 2 quick attach release arms and let the forks fall back in then rearm the quick release arms. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a fix for it? This happens whens the forks are under some pressure. Sometimes I will be moving a pallet, go to let it down and pull away and the forks disconnect from the quick attach. I made sure that the quick attach arms and fully engaged when I attach the forks. Not sure why this happens, but my FEL bucket never does this and sometimes it is under allot of pressure depending on what I am doing. It happens allot and is very aggravating.

That is what makes me leary of buying from Titan. My bet would be that the top lip isn't long enough. My dad got some QA plates and had the same problem. We didn't know any better at the time, so we ended up modifying the QH on the tractor.

Take some pictures of the latches on the bottom and the interaction at the top. Someone here will know exactly what's up. But we need the pics........

I'll get some pictures posted later today. The top lip stays in, but the bottom pulls out. Really odd that this would happen.

When you push the quick attach arms down how far do the spring loaded locking pegs protrude though the bottom slots?

The first pic you can see that the pins don't seem to go down far enough. The second pic shows marks where the pin scrapes the forks when it disconnects. I could weld a piece of metal in there to make the pins catch more like a metal plate to build it up.

Here is a better side shot of where the pin goes in.

I think a shim makes sense. Or you could zip off that bracket, move it up "tight" and re-weld it.

Pretty much B.S. having to do either, but you can do it and move on with life.

Try removing that cotter pin & rotating the latch pin 180 deg. Just thinking out loud........

No that is not the answer. The pins are correct. The forks are out of spec. A shim welded in will fix this. Some people have got titan to apply a credit. To pay for a repair. Ask for some monetary relief and have the forks repaired or do it your self for the money. We have seen this before on this forum.

Oh. And do it quickly because it can "spring" your little SSQA torque tube if it gets twisted. Then you have to cut the tube and reweld it. Don't wait to long to fix this.

Sounds like a plan. It will be an easy enough fix. I will contact Titan about this though. This shouldn't happen.

I don't think you need a shim on the bottom. I think Titan welded the top plate too high not allowing the locking pins to go far enough down to make a tighter fit. May need to weld another 1/8" or more thicker plate on the top edge. You need further engagement of the lower locking pins.

I would say the same and more. Don't use them until you get the bottom shoe tight. Some one is going to get hurt or mess up your loader then lots of $$$$$$.

Is this Titan a corp or someone working at home.

I just got a set last Wednesday, so grabbed a flashlight and went out to look. My pins set much deeper in the holes than yours. It is too dark out to take a pic, but will tomorrow if you want.

I bought a quick attach plate a few years ago from Skid Steer Solutions and it didn't fit my Deere skid steer properly. The attachment would pop off similar to what you are describing. I welded in a shim made of 3" x 3/8" material and remedied the problem. Attached are before and after pics. Note in the before pic showing the gap I am pushing down on the implement to drive the pins in and show the gap on the top.

Holy cow: that entire bottom plate needs to be raised up 1/4" or the top plate lowered or shimmed down 1/4"

I welded a piece of 1' x 3/16 flat bar to the top on the grapple unit.I Should have used 1/4" it's popped off once and that was most likely my fault using it a little to rough popping out an Alder
