That would be great if you could.

I just got a set last Wednesday, so grabbed a flashlight and went out to look. My pins set much deeper in the holes than yours. It is too dark out to take a pic, but will tomorrow if you want.

This is my pin, on the OE bucket.

Pin sticks through quite far and the "pad" in the back is tight up against the angled part of the bucket.

Hope it helps.

I see that. Your pad is up right against where mine is not. I'm wondering if I can bend that pad up some of that would help. I did email Titan about this today. We'll see what they will do.

Thanks for the pic.

You probably *could* bend it up, but I wouldn't. I would do either a shim in the top or bottom (not sure how to pick which one is the problem) or cut that plate off, hold it up to the pad on the quick disconnect, and weld it back on. Bending is a kludge and might always be somewhat of an issue. Do it once (cry once, as they say) and have faith in your equipment. IMO.............

I would do the shim in the top where the weight hangs on it and helps to hold it into place. Putting the shim on the bottom is going to have the pin constantly pulling against it and could eventually pop the welds on the added shim and fall off again. Shim on the top would simply make the bottom engage the existing parts better.

I wouldn't substantially modify the attachment to fit your particular tractor. If your tractor QA is on the small side of normal tolerances, your attachment may not fit another tractor on the large side of normal tolerances. Adding a shim is a good solution if it's just tight enough or if it's removable.

Speaking of standards, it's incredible that a company can't make a product to well established and important standards- over and over as reported on TBN. I too wondered if this is a functional company or a guy with a welder and a shade tree.

I'd take a "burn that bridge when we get to it" approach. Could spend a few minutes taking some measurements. Maybe you put in a 1/4" thick plate instead of a 3/8" to make it more accurate to the spec. The bottom line is that it needs to fit your tractor and it doesn't. Beyond that, it's a theoretical discussion (and I'm an engineer, so I am very capable of the theoretical discussion).

From what I can gather, they are an importer from.......well, you can guess. One of those things, I've seen plenty of amazingly good stuff come from china, then some very borderline stuff. There was enough bad here on TBN that I'm steering clear of Titan. I'd guess that they don't have any manufacturing to deal with the crud that sometimes comes over. They offer minimal $ to "make it right". For the price, just expect some fixit. I'd imagine most just fix it up without another word and live happily ever after.

At any rate, good luck and let us know how it all goes.

I bought my forks from Palletforks.com, think they are one & the same...

My forks were loose, there was an inch or 2 of slop at the pins when the pins were down & everything was suppose to be tight. Lots of posts about similar problems from them around.

Anyway I took photos & emailed them about the problem. They promptly emailed me back offering to swap out the frame, or give me a $70 refund to make things right (intended to give to a local welder to make thins right). As I can weld I took the money & welded some flat stock onto the bottom of the holes for the pins.

I see them like Harbor Freight... Cheap kill implements, but they stand behind them. I'd do business with them again.

I would be happy with some compensation. I think the shim will do the trick and it is an easy fix for me.

I think that is the best course. Take the money, fix it and go on with life. These types of problems are a bigger deal for a person without a welder or any way to work with metal

They sent me custom plasma cut out shims that match the bottom cut outs on the attachment. I gather they cut numerous shims at a time. Did you call them today?
hugs, Brandi

Bill, it's good that you stand behind these errors but even better would be to get a simple gage and check them before shipping. Parallels drawn between Titan SS and Harbor Freight can't be good for long term business.

No it can't, I steered away from them when buying a grapple and forks. Price is NOT everything. A decent quality product IS. That means that it shouldnt need to be fixed immediatly after delivery and you wouldn't have to use your great customer service quite so often...

Common problems should be checked for and addresed before shippig the item out.

Glad that your issue is being resolved. I'm glad I won't need to go through the trouble.

Here is a better side shot of where the pin goes in.
There should not be a gap at the bottom. The plate with the slots for the pins is too low, it should be 16" from the plate at the top of the forks, to fit on the quick attach snug.

Hey guys, definitely agree it should be right the first time. Mistakes in fabrication can happen and we need to do a better job of detecting them before they ship. We have doubled our QC efforts and are working overtime to check every frame and attachment in stock. We apologize for any that got by us, but know this...we will always stand by our product and make it right!

Have a great holiday weekend!
