I used the mast and forks from an old forklift... the mast has a cylinder that takes it up about twenty feet from the ground, and the forklift arms are fairly sort at five feet, but manually adjust sideways .. It's on an old tractor with a Minneapolis loader, with a newer quick tach ... The quick tach has bent pins at the top, and pieces of one inch plate at the bottom for the locking pins to go into ..The quick tach forklift itself weighs maybe 1000 pounds,[goes on in place of the bucket], and I haven't tried picking anything up more than 2500 pounds or so, the loader lift arms squeal out then .. The mast with arms only cost me fifty dollars at the local scrap dealer

Wow someone else with tapered down forks, welcome to the Tapered Down Fork Club, so far it's a small club of you and me. Are these some you made or bought, does the square tube in between stop side to side movement?

Looks like a nice 50s Farmall with add-on FEL post model and year so I can youtube it, then you stiffeners on the cutting, never seen that before must be you have lot of lift power, I could go on about the barn build and fantastic scenery but you heard it before.

I bought them from Here thought about building some for a long time and sure could of, didn't really have time so I forked up (ha) the money for those.

My Farmall is a 1944 M - she's been sulking some since I bought the diesel Agco that sits inside now, she's a tough old bird and has to stay outside.

How many of you have forks for the 3pt lift? There is a lot more capacity back there if you just need to move things without going too high. I built mine from parts off an old forklift, and even use the 48" forks.

I just love them ole tractors with the ole tractor sound, it was tough but did find a couple tractors like yours, seems like wide front ends are a rare breed back then.
