I put 700ish hours on b3030 never had pallet forks, i just bought a l45 and at the last minute i had em toss in pallet forks. i never knew what i was missing, i have used these forks way more than i thought i would. i move alot of large rocks around my property and ran into a rock the bucket would just bearly move, i put the forks on and due to the lighter weight of the forks i was able to get the rock to it's resting place. i am amazed at how useful these are, i highly recomend them to anyone that can add them to their unit

Yep, a grapple is handier than forks.

This one is even heavier than the bucket.

No grapple yet. Dealer picked her up today to install the 4n1 and the bh thumb. Cant push the cfo to far considering i havent laid down the first payment for the l45

If you can afford a set of forks for the FEL get them. I am not talking about bucket forks, I don't recommend them. You will use the forks more than you think. They hold their value very well so if you decide they aren't helping you, you likely sell them for close to what you have in them.

If $$ are tight get a set of clamp on pallet forks AND the 3 pt. I've both. For my B7610 I bought the 3pt from Agri-supply first because I had stuff to move around and they worked well (also the store was a drive by, thus no shipping). When I bought my M4700 everyone recommended FEL QA forks but getting that set up would have cost about $2000 or more for the setup (adapter, forks, modifying FEL) so I bought a pair of clamp ons from Titan (was palletforks.com) for about $200. I don't move pallets even on a monthly basis.

IF you already have the QA then your about half way there and to me it would be a tossup between clamp ons (cheaper) or QA, better.

If your B2920 has the QA loader you can get QA forks for between $500-600. Titan attachments is one source, Everything attachments is another.
Check your local CL ads for used ones. They do come up once in a while just keep in mind the new price as some sellers think their used stuff is worth new price.

Also note that the 950# lift rating for the 2920 is based at the front pin. As soon as you add forks, you move the load further out in front, so the capacity goes down. At 20" in front of the pin, you go down to 650# capacity.

Then add the weight of the forks/carriage and the load capacity decreases more yet. Although not an option for the OP, it's one reason I moved from compact tractor to skid steer.
When I had a Kubota B3030 I found that I had to unload by hand a significant amount of weight from a ton of wood pellets to get the tractor to be able to pick the pallet up off of the trailer. But it still beat the heck out of handling every single bag by hand! :thumbsup:
