I will now conduct the 'Blind' hammer v. nail experiment, using standard Australian work-shed/laboratory hand-held pounding implements! Wish me luck!

Yes Steve, I'll video the experiment!

[2 Scientific hours later...]

Here are the results of the "'Blind' hammer v. nail experiment, using standard Australian work-shed/laboratory hand-held pounding implements". As can be observed, most of the nails (matched in composition to the original nails above), at first, entered fairly straight. Then the experiment went somewhat awry and the misshaped nails began to be produced.

I've included the array of standard Australian work-shed/laboratory hand-held pounding implements that were to be utilised... I say "were" because I only got up to using the smaller BFH before both of my hands were rendered useless.

Which is also the reason that there is no video as, I'm afraid, that my vocal expletives were of such intensity as to cause the whole recording to be censored. My apologies to all in that regard.

1. Are you asking the scientific community to accept your " scientific results" without providing video evidence that the so-called "scientific results" were obtained by a blind test? An expression often used by the laymen on TBN is "Without pictures, it didn't happen." We scientist say "Without video, it didn't happen."
2. Although your "photographic evidence" is suspect, many of the nails resemble the letters of the ancient Sumerian alphabet. In their configuration in the photo, they spell out a vulgar phrase.
3. There is no #3.
4. Again, although your "photographic evidence" is suspect, two out of the ten nails are L-shaped. The relative frequency is then 2/10 (US) or 20% (metric). The null hypothesis is that p1 - p2 = 0, where p1 is the proportion from the first population and p2 the proportion from the second. The alternative is that the two proportions differ. The null hypothesis cannot be rejected using a 5% significance level. Z Test Calculator for 2 Poulation Proportions. What does this mean?
5. Please store the specimens in a #2 mayonnaise jar.
6. I see no photographic evidence of the scientific device that you used to assure blindness during the experiment.

I think some of the people on this thread practice activities to much that my mother always told us caused blindness

Excellent! This means you can perform the "blind tests" without sight-obscuring accouterments. This is a real break through moment for the team. Thanks!

Driving home from work, I saw something that might help explain what it is.
Field stone is a big seller around here. So is bluestone. If the pallets were near a wall then the pallets may be used to stack fieldstone to sell.
Around us now the natural gas pipeline company's are repairing a lot of walls they had to take down when they put in the pipelines and its a big seller.

That theory will never fly with this group. It made too much sense. ;)

stuckmotor,

Although James has not participated in this thread for sometime, there is no requirement that you assume his role as one who offers gratuitous endorsements of crackpot theories. There are no walls visible in the photographs provided by sparc. :mur:

Steve

PS

Have you managed to dig out from the blizzard of 2014? I ventured out on the highway yesterday.

maybe they are "out of this world" invisible rock walls???

It's been so long I forgot there were photographs lol!

Yes, you did.

The assertions regarding rocks are empirically testable:
New Jersey "The Garden State." Gardens require dirt.
Pennsylvania "The Keystone State." Stones are required to lay a keystone.

Unfortunately, your mother was not acquainted with the scientific literature. Said activity causes hair to grow on the palms of your hands.

Stuckmotor, thanks for taking up my cudgel in the crackpot endorsement arena!
