Pallets in fields

The pallets are in New Jersey, rignt. They could be grave markers, one for Jimmy Hoffa, one for Louie the Squirrel, etc. etc...

My apologies Mr Chairman, I was not expecting this ad-hoc appointment and duty. Prior commitments for the Christmas Hoilday have kept me away from this site for a couple days.

The evidence shows that milkman636 was assigned the task of initiating a "Festivus Miracle" thread. He failed to do so. There were extemporaneous declarations of "Festivus Miracles" in the "Airing Of Grievances" thread, but only as a result of milkman636's dereliction of duty.

The defense rests.

A friend and I seen this in person when we looked at nearby dozer for sale. The seller had no idea what the thousands of pallets were for.

I swore earlier that I would have nothing to add to help solve this mystery but ahhh.... wait. Have we examined the dimension of the pallets, their construction method and wood type used (assuming they are wood!)? These important clues could help lead us at least to the source if not the purpose. Just trying to help out here...

The "honeycomb hive" is not visible from the road so satellite images is all we have to work with. Perhaps this bird's eye view will help in identification: Bing Maps - Driving Directions, Traffic and Road Conditions

The dispersed field pallets are arranged vertically in a square, leaving the top open. Perhaps this is a more advanced method that may involve the use of some type of alien fasteners, versus gravity holding them together in the inverted V manner.

The satellite image does help! The "honeycomb" appears to be a collection of pallets. Are they to be distributed to the field, collected from the field, or from some other purpose?

On Google Earth you can roll backwards through older satellite photos. Using this, one could perhaps study the evolution of this pallet structure.

My interest is in furthering scientific progress. To the extent that pseudo-science slows scientific progress, pseudo-scientific "theories" must be debunked.

Information on the pallets themselves may be useful. For example, an "alienist" theory might predict that the pallets are made from materials that are of extraterrestrial origin; i.e., the theory makes a prediction that is falsifiable. Evidence that the pallets are of terrestrial origin would prove the theory false.

It appears that the entering 34.521936, -97.896224 into Google maps would bring you to the right spot. The field of pallets looks almost like I would expect to see from someone who was growing trees and wanted to protect them from largish animals (deer?).
