Pallets in fields

Due to this thread I spent an afternoon reviewing old Seinfeld Youtube vids all afternoon as I came in to warm up from snow plowing

Have we ruled out temporary property line markers (post survey) doubling as a sapling protector for deers, tractors? Or is this is recurring phenomenon?

From the original post:

Now during the Spring and Summer they are nowhere to be seen, and in late Fall they are out there again. .

With many thanks to walker450's Reply #226, it is obvious that the 'bottom sections' of my BBT have been produced... they are simply awaiting the completed 'roof sections' to be combined with them.

Steve reminded us all of the shear SIZE of anthropomorphized avian "Mascots"; there is also a breed of Seattle 'Seahawk' in the USA. Further investigation has uncovered a plethora of Australian breeds: The Hawthorn Hawk, Collingwood Magpie (a truly despicable creature... but I digress), Adelaide Crow, Manly Sea-Eagle and a whole flock of West-Coast Eagles!

There may be, NO, there MUST BE more examples of these creatures all over the planet!!!

The question now remains... will this benefit mankind or is this some nefarious plan?

Or, perhaps I need to get a wee bit more sleep tonight.

I can't believe Sparc is letting us down like this.

Sparc just asked a question, and did not realize this was going to take on a life of it's own. He created a Frankenstein monster.

Where is he anyway???

I have not been idling my time away waiting for sparc to do his civic duty. Unlike you "Monday-Morning Theorists," I have been using my time in a productive manner -- searching the Internet for information that may be useful in solving the mystery.

Here are some items that should be of interest.

1. Several posts have advanced "Alienist" theories in explaining the pallets.

Further evidence of an alien presence comes from Paul Hellyer, former Canadian defense minister "Aliens Exist' Says Canada's Former Defense Minister -- Fusion.:

Hellyer begins to list where they're coming from. It turns out that our alien visitors come from near (one of the Saturn moons) and far (the Pleiades and Zeta Reticuli star systems). Oh yeah, and they get here via a portal in the Andes mountains in Peru. So there you have it, folks. Aliens are real, according to a nonagenarian man who at one point had access to highly classified information during the height of the Cold War.

The "Alienists" should use Google (or similar) maps to locate pallet formations in the Andes.

2. Several posts have advanced "Criminalist" theories to explain the formations; e.g., the pallets mark the burial places of Jimmy Hoffa, who was presumably dismembered before entombment.

Evidence of the seamy side of the pallet industry comes from Bryan man arrested in pallet scam - Bryan Times: Local:

Bryan man faces numerous criminal charges for allegedly running what officials are calling a pallet scam that owed businesses more than $250,000.

Gene E. Ferrell, 36, of 215 N. Lewis St., was arrested Tuesday on a 32-count Williams County Common Pleas Court indictment charging him with one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony, one count of money laundering, a third-degree felony, 15 counts of fourth-degree felony grand theft, 14 counts of fifth-degree felony theft and a first-degree misdemeanor count of petty theft.

Williams County Prosecutor Kirk Yosick said the allegations were originally part of an FBI investigation that began after multiple trucking companies and pallet manufacturers complained about not being paid.

The "Criminalists" may want to investigate the possibility that the pallet formations are part of a "sting" operation by law enforcement agencies intent on putting an end to the pallet gangsters' "reign of terror."

3. No one has considered technological advances in the pallet industry: How the Humble Wooden Pallet Paralyzed Big Pharma and Now Faces Extinction - CBS News.

Pfizer has promised to switch from wooden pallets to molded plastic ones to solve the contamination problem, setting up a potentially interesting global paradigm shift in the shipping world. Could the wooden pallet, the workhorse of the 20th Century, go the way of the buggy whip and the steam engine?

The formations may be the work of Luddites protesting the advent of new pallet technology.

4. To date, no one has reported using evidence from the http://www.palletforum.com/ to support his/her theory.

5. There is no Number 5.

Could the pallets be placed to indicate SNOW DEPTH in the middle of the field?

(sorry for the OFF/OFF-Topic post):D

In NJ?!?! We don't usually get enough to measure. We measure snow depth by how panicked the drivers get ... 1 hour extra on the commute home per 1/2" of snow

Has anyone investigated if these said pallets have been heat treated for international shipping ( ISPM 15 )

I'd read the article at Steve's link, How the Humble Wooden Pallet Paralyzed Big Pharma and Now Faces Extinction - CBS News , before I realized "Big Pharma" meant large pharmaceutical companies rather than those nasty little "piranha" fish that live in South America. There must be something to this dyslexia business after all.

It was probably word association: big pharma - piranha

Alas, no.:(

Have we examined the dimension of the pallets, their construction method and wood type used (assuming they are wood!)? These important clues could help lead us at least to the source if not the purpose. Just trying to help out here...

Information on the pallets themselves may be useful. For example, an "alienist" theory might predict that the pallets are made from materials that are of extraterrestrial origin; i.e., the theory makes a prediction that is falsifiable. Evidence that the pallets are of terrestrial origin would prove the theory false.

Once gain, we are left in the lurch by Bob (the OP). He promised that he would provide us with additional information right after the beginning of the new year. It now January 9, 2014. There is no doubt in my mind that Bob is guilty of nonfeasance -- the intentional failure to perform a required duty or obligation.

It appears that the entering 34.521936, -97.896224 into Google maps would bring you to the right spot. The field of pallets looks almost like I would expect to see from someone who was growing trees and wanted to protect them from largish animals (deer?).

this oklahoma property has a name:
east elk pallet farm,
kitty corner to the property is also a "christmas tree farm"
and older satellite pics show less development in the field of pallets.
the elk ave did have a limited street view, and guess what, pallets.
maybe this place is the mother ship, and the ones in jersey are scouts looking
for a place to expand, as they have pretty much filled the field in oklahoma.....

oh and just to the east of this pallet farm are a couple of new beautiful homes!

5. There is no Number 5.
So now we're dealing with theft? Or is this some sort of new edict from our alien overlords? First, strange pallets appear in New Jersey, then the abduction or downright elimination of the number 5. This is getting stranger by the day.

Excellent information -- thanks for posting.

Looking at the satellite photos, there appear to be numerous "junk piles." But as they say, "One man's junk is another man's treasure.":)

"crap" is slang for "junk"

You realize, sparc is craps spelled backwards
