Pallets in fields

Well, I will not refrain from naming names. Bruce (aka Wagtail), lilranch2001, James, and others are would-be voyeurs. They want to obtain professional grade X-ray vision instruments for the sole purpose of satisfying their prurient interests.

They remind me of the immature teenage boys of my youth -- looking through the school library's copies of the National Geographic Magazine in hopes of seeing the "naughty bits" of native females. Those hooligans tore pages from that periodical -- as a result, I was unable to read articles that would have furthered my knowledge of natural history. I am willing to wager that Bruce (aka Wagtail), lilranch2001, James and others buy copies of "gentlemen's" magazines for the pictures rather than the articles.;)

PS -- Pipette is my protege and research associate, not my lab assistant.
I must concur that previous squirrely posts (Wagtail, lilranch, James, and think TomSeller also must be thrown in)... should be considered before casually issuing these advanced optical devices. As such, I think the lot of them have demonstrated that the 'lure to lurk' might be too much for them to remain focused on the scientific objective.

More vetting is necessary... due diligence must be exercised! For one, anyone who has applied for a TSA screener position, especially after the introduction of the original millimeter wave scanners in 2007 should be summarily disqualified. I think however I should be promoted to near the front of the line as I have demonstrated to date, that I have no desire to use them inappropriately.... and can be trusted... at least until the mystery is solved! :D

I think Dragoneggs recent TBN expose' has gone to his head.
I bet he would sin wearing the glasses as much as the next guy

I will discuss it with the comittee, you will have an answer shortly.

Wait, I thought Rocky was a raccoon??

:confused3:

Rocky was a raccoon, a boxing raccoon.
Rocky defeated Apollo Creed in a nine round knockout. A very good match, I remember it well.

I agree, but I believe that the scientific method requires "blind testing," and the "bagging" should be recorded via video. In addition, blueriver (or the executor/executrix of his estate) should post the video to this thread.;)

Steve

I could not have expressed it better.

Once the coyote is "bagged", the pallets must be randomly relocated by a protege (perhaps Pipette has a sister?) while blueriver is also wearing a bag over his head. This is known as the "double blind test" method.

I think the farmer was getting ready to use the pallets for this. The smokehouses are built in fall, ready for hunting season. I am rather upset that my invitation to dinner was lost in the mail.

Excellent!! The "double blind test" is preferred as it minimizes any bias upon the part of the investigator. If blueriver decides to carry out the experiment, Pipette and I will assist in setting up the pallets. We will also video the experiment using a telephoto lens from the safety of an armored vehicle.

This is just another example of how unassuming these pallets are! We see them as docile, neglected entities, and we welcome them into most every part of our daily lives thinking we can extend/improve their lives. The posted article does pose the question... "How to know if your Pallets are Safe?" But they fail to adequately answer the question with only superficial response... "Deconstruct your Pallets".

Another question in my mind... should 'Pallets' be capitalized or not?

Ok, I will also be an experimenter and will set up pallets in my field to see what happens . . . . Full circle . . .and this is how it started.

THE END.

It's getting so a pallet farmer can't try to establish a crop without a bunch of loons getting all into his business.

Words for transcendent ideas in the Platonic sense, especially when used in a religious context, are often capitalized. Good; Beauty; Truth; the One.

As scientists, I believe we should avoid using "pallet" as a transcendent idea, and thus the lower case should be standard. There are obvious exceptions, such as when "pallet" is used at the beginning of a sentence (e.g., "Pallet formations have managed to flummox scientists for more than one month.") or in a title (e.g., the "Spurious 'Hayist' Theory of Pallet Formations").

Suppose they want Government Subsidies too?

Okay tomorrow I'll set up another set a few hundred feet away to test this .. Hey at least I'm actually experimenting ...

If a bird deposits on the pallet this time we might have a whole new theory. The combination of coyote pee and bird doodoo could add at least 3 pages to this thread.

In the interests of science I will continue my investigations

P.S. In all this time that single eye never blinked..

Be careful out there. If you smoke, run for your life if the one-eyed creature does blink. The front of the creature resembles the hindquarters of a Capra aegagrus hircus. These creatures produce methane, often in prodigious quantities. Recall Bubba's Law: methane + lit cigarette/cigar = blooey.

Oi! At no time have I ever condoned the Squirellist Theory.

Indeed, I am the only member of this Fellowship of the Pallet [FOTP] to have presented any sort of tertiary qualification to be entrusted with this delicate apparatus! As a serving RAN Reservist, I hold a Top Secret security clearance which would guarantee that the device would not be used in a nefarious way. I clearly stated that "observing ladies 'naughty bits'" was a standard operating procedure [SOP] to calibrate the Professional X-ray Glasses... nothing more.

As a fellow TBN MOTM [Member of the Month], I am surprised at your insinuations! Especially as a veiled attempt to advance yourself 'up the queue' for access to this technology.
