Anti-vaxers seem to not do well learning history.

And the people that keep spouting this garbage need to do their deep research. Because there was a lot of anomilies surrounding polio. And most cases may not of been polio. And some cases of polio were linked to DDT and Paris green. which may not of been polio, but GBS. Basically there were a lot of cases were any paralysis was reported as polio, just like any respiratory death in 2021 was considers covid, or cases in the 1950's were cases of coughing up blood was TB. And according the the death certificate of one of my uncles he died of TB of the throat. Lung cancer and throat cancer was reported as TB.

So I really don't tend to believe what is reported for a lot of disease statistics.

I suspect just being able to interact with any pet is a really big deal to anyone unfortunate enough to be in a setting where they arent allowed to have one.

I think you're overlooking the broader picture - supported by credible statistics - that the overall population is better off when nearly everyone is vaccinated. So this is a worthwhile national goal.

While recognizing some people have adverse reactions or even the bad luck to get flawed vaccine. I say this knowing Cutter Labs by mistake put out a batch of polio vaccine that still had live virus and killed several people. My uncle worked there (financial side, not lab) He and everyone there were devastated.

Polio is now eradicated in most of the world. There are no guarantees in life.

I’ve actually delved into this subject more than most.
Dementia sucks. I’ve dealt with it with loved ones. Let’s be clear on this.

If you or anyone feels safer by injecting big-pharma chemicals, I say, have at it. Your body your choice.

I certainly don’t agree with the logic of using a single dementia story, such as yours, as a “Proof of vaccination works“ poster child , anymore than I, or you, would want to use a story of one of the many who died shortly after getting injected, as undisputed truth of vaccine safely, and efficacy
