Massey Ferguson GC2300
Is there a means or contact for purchasing parts directly from AGCO for the Massey Ferguson tractors? I have a GC2300 with FEL, etc.

My dealer never has anything in stock that I need. Didn't even have the correct fuel bowl o-ring in stock. The only items he ever has in stock are fluids, pins, bolts, and hitch parts that are common to the entire line.

I'd rather pay the shipping then have to deal with his poorly stocked parts department. Three weeks to get a lamp assembly that I broke in the woods. It didn't get ordered until three days ago - when I called to find out why it was taking so long.

Thoughts anyone?

I agree my dealer dose'nt stock anything for my 2300 either. 2 weeks is the min., and like you I have to keep calling to get them to place the order.
I guess small tractors don't count. No other dealers for me to switch to.

My dealer not only never has anything in stock, they want ME to pay a shipping charge on every part they have to order. I say, if I'm going to pay shipping, I will order from Jack's and have it shipped to my door.

Massey Ferguson Parts and Original Massey Filters, on top of saving time, they save me 2 trips to the dealer.

There are no other dealers within a reasonable distance. That is why I'll be doing the mail-order routine.

What is the uinderlying problem with the dealers? I get the distinct feeling this is not a problem specific to my dealer or to the make (Massey Ferguson).

They seem worse than car dealers - once you have the car, they only want to see you when they can rip you off for some high labor charges. No interest if you are fixing it yourself.

Is this just for small tractors, or is it across the board?

I have run into similar issues with my dealer not stocking parts for the 2310, but they are good about getting the parts in and delivered quickly. Before I bought a parts book, they were glad to stay on the phone with me for 20 minutes trying to track down a part number. Then I found the AGCO Parts book online parts website and now I don't need to look in the book anymore.

You have to request access to the website through an AGCO dealer-I recommend you choose one with good customer service rather than just the closest. AGCO Parts Book website lets you view exploded diagrams of all the components, find the part number, and order just what you need right through the website-your order then goes straight to the dealer. I spoke with the one parts guy I trust at the MF dealer, and he set me up with a password. They have to do something to allow you to get on this site.

I found paying around with this site that some items like my 60" mmm I had to go into the search area to find it. The online parts book is very good as I was able to get numbers for my MMM that he couldnt find. It still didnt help getting them to place my order any quicker.
