I spoke with the one parts guy I trust at the MF dealer, and he set me up with a password. They have to do something to allow you to get on this site.

It is good for me to go to the dealer and say I want this or that part and have the number rdy as some times the people behind the counter should be out sweeping the floor

You can also buy a parts manual, for a reasonable price, and skip the internet based one. When out in the garage, it is convenient to be able to look at the diagrams in the parts manual, while looking at the tractor.

I purchased a parts manula and plan to do my ordering from Jack's, as suggested in a couple of posts.

The post commenting about the parts counter guy sweeping the floor - with the attitude my dealer's parts department has, I'd bet he do just as poorly at that as he does with parts ordering.

I originally bought based on what appeared to be a competent dealer. But, all they are interested in selling and servicing are the really big earth moving equipment they also sell.

Do I blame them for going where the money is? Not really - just stop lying to the small tractor purchasers.

I must have one of the good dealers. They have had the parts in stock for my 2310 and Becky just reaches up and get the filters with out looking up the numbers. Bluck and Sons in West Lafayette Ohio , phone # 740-545-6777 ask for Becky.

I you're not in a rush, ask your dealer to order the parts on a stock order. That will save the cost freight from AGCO to your dealer. Dealers can also have parts direct shipped to your location from AGCO, but that will most likely cost you more and it doesn't but you in a good position if you gave the dealer the wrong part number to order.

Two o-rings cost me $7.83 including shipping to their parts counter. I won't throw in the cost of gas to go pick them up. Pissed? You bet I am.

Parts manual came today - freedom from the dealer has arrived. It also makes a great disassembly reference.

If you really want to have a cow, look up the prices of some of the common parts like, starter , alternator , radiator , and work your way into the odd ones.!!!!!

Like the alternator for a Piper 160. Common automotive, with a PMA number on it. Just add another zero to the cost at NAPA. But, you can't use the one from NAPA and cannot legally install it anyway.

Believe me I know - been there and done that.
