No, the QH is held on with 3 pins, just like an attachment, the lower link balls can swivel inside the QH frame. It is not bolted solidly to the lift arms. You can get a 7/8" dowel rod, cut it in half and fix it to each of pats qh. Raise and lower the lift arms and the alignment changes. You probably flexed the pats spreader bar and broke one end off.

I scrapped my pats setup, didn't like the stresses it was putting on implement pins. If implement pin breaks could be major damage to implement (bent or broken parts). Just the way I see it. Setup originally on BX2370.
I have a TnT on my B series with the Pat's and have never seen an issue with stressing pins, I regularly use the tilt feature on my rear blade (std pin) and box blade (double shear through pin) with no issue.
There is a decent amount of travel available with Pat's for verticle movement due to how the locks are made, there shouldn't be any movement in-out, which is where it could possibly bind a little.

I switched from a frame style QH to the Pat's a few years ago so I wouldn't have to take off the QH to use the post hole auger and a few other attachments that were just a little off on size. I will not be getting rid of the Pat's, and yes I have looked at the euro style but the cost is not worth the small benefit it might give me.

I am planning on making a spring loaded spreader setup for the Pat's so I don't have to take off the spreader bar.

Re: Patç—´ Easy Change Spreader Bar Mount

Don't buy old 2nd hand junk or modify the implement. The only time I have to dismount tractor is to connect pto's or hoses.

Try the dowel rod experiment with pats you will have /\ then -- then \/ bsed on lift arm position. Again this was on a BX lift arms.

Whatever. Old implements that are not abused will be around if cared for when you are a fuzzy memory in your children’s children’s children’s children. Your children will likely have to replace those Chinese steel implements!

And it is shame that you do not make use of opportunities to stretch those joints when presented yo you. But life by that old adage ‘Don’t use—Lose it’

I have a similar to Pat’s system. I had it before I heard of Pat’s. I can pull 2 pins and remove. Since there are 2 of them it takes about 2x as removing your draw bar/ball mount from your receiver hitch but same process. My do not have the bolts and locking U bolts but I have never had an issue, and I do remove them for 1 implement from time to time. They do not have the spring latch like Pat’s, but I need to hook up my top link so no biggie to drop in those pins.
Sorry folks, I have had them long enough that I do not remember what brand they are. If I was putting on another tractor, I would probably go with Pat’s and consider not doing all the lock down. I have swivel on each arm independent of the frame of a traditional QA, and I will not be getting rid of my better than most new implements to spend money on a system that 1 out 10 says they work perfect for every implement compared to the 9 out of 10 that say they have yo make adjustments even though their QA and implements are the same brand and ‘compatible’!

But the implement is not free to swivel! Actually once in the lower arm balls, no implement is free to swivel. That function is largely for connection purposes. Go on out and try to swivel that hook and frame. Then pull it off the tractor hook up an implement as the mfg designed it. Put in the pins and try to swivel that. Very little movement. Now all 3 will sway on the arms.
Pat痴 and similar systems work in many cases better than your QA as lots on implements are no QA compatible!

A one time modification to implement to accept QH makes life so much more pleasant....

Tell me how do you modify a post hole digger to fit a QH or a floating implement like a full floating finish mower that requires 3 independent floating points? Especially one that requires the top link to swing up and down in a wide range?

You sound like the guy that things round is square.

Re: Pat痴 Easy Change Spreader Bar Mount

Has anyone else tried just using a stick (length of 1x1) and heavy duty rubberbands?
Worked for me. But then I don't change implements often.
