I have a JD 5103 I use for shredding, discing, loader work, and hay cutting/raking. I have a JD 260 disc mower that I use for mowing that attaches to the 3-point. I'd like to get the Pat's Easy Change for my lift arms but curious how they would take the unbalanced load of that disc mower?

If you're not familiar with the mower, here's a link to a picture: http://www.tractorhouse.com/images/Tractor/fullsize/81767468.jpg

When the hydr. cylinder is extended it changes the center of gravity and I was concerned with the connection on the quick release.

Any comments?

I think it will work fine.

I have them and use the Frontier DM 1160 disc mower ... no problems.

Thanks for the comments. I've used quick-hitches on Cat 3 equipment but nothing that ever put a strain upward on the quick releases like this would.

That Frontier looks identical to the JD 260. This cutter is probably 20 years old. We purchased 2 from the JD dealer and have had great luck with them. Not near as big as the newer ones but gets the job done. We don't cover 100's of acres like we used to.
