Hi all...........I should have gotten pictures, but I pulled it off before I thought of it. I purchased a Pat's system through the forum this past winter and finally got a chance to install. The first thing I tried to use it with was my new carry-all. The trouble I had was that the arms were at such an angle (splayed outward) that I couldn't get both arms to engage with the pins. I'm new to tractors so it's possible I'm missing something obvious. I cheated them inward when I installed them as much as I could but could not get the pins to lock in. Anyone else run into this?

The bolts that were supposed to hold mine straight got their threads damaged and they don't hold the Pat's pieces very straight... so they have some excess play in them... but it hasn't caused any trouble and still work perfectly for me.

To the OP surely your lift arms are adjustable with either turnbuckles or pins with holes to allow them width adjustment, or am I missing something?

Are your lift arms bent in at the ends so they are pointing straght back? Some lift arms i have seen are straight with no bend , those would make pats hard to get to work , I love my pats, This past weekend i changed implements 5 times , easy with pats,

I don't have my Pat's setup perfectly square with the arms as the angle changes when you spread the arms. I set them up so they are square with whatever implement I'm using. I don't change implements often so adjusting is not a big deal. Most implements are the same width so it's only for the really different ones an adjustment is required. I go back and forth between the ballast box and the mower with no adjustment at all.

The Pat's adapters on the Kubota B7200 are cranked to the extreme limits to provide for "typical" three point attachments.

That is, the inner adjusting screws are backed out until they are flush with the casting. while the outer adjustment screws are screwed in until they cinch up the casting to the lift arm ends. Still, that is only "just enough" to get the hitch pins to lay in the hooks correctly. But it works!

The way the pins are on my carry all, There is just room enough to get the hooks between the pins and the back boards of the carry all box. I'll do things a little different "next time". ;-)

It could very well be that simple. I haven't used the 3 point much, and when I have I've had no trouble with attachment before the Pat's. I'll take a look the next time I'm at the tractor. I would need to be able to widen at the point where the arms attach to the tractor I would think.....in order to change the angle that the Pats will meet the pins. The problem at this point is that the Pats takes away the swivel of the ball/pin assembly so it's not in line with the pins.

I'll try again and get some pictures this time if I'm still having trouble. Thanks everyone for the helpful replies. I'm sure I'm just being thick or unobservant. Probably both.

Mine do the same thing. When the 3 point is lifted up to where the implements would normally be they are square to the world but when the arms are all the way down the Pats are tilted some. I can get things hooked up though. Like someone said, using the jamb bolts you can adjust the tilt on the Pats.

I had the jamb bolts all the way out and still couldn't get them to engage. granted, that was with the stabilizer bar in place. I'll fiddle with it, and maybe lose the stabilizer bar and see if I can make it work.

I have always had real trouble hooking up the 3 pt. The Pat's has helped but only a little. The real issue is that I am blind in one eye and have limited peripheral vision. I simply cannot see to back up aligning the two lift points. Pat's helps, but I still have problems. There is really little I can do. I have tried mirrors and my kids are giving me a backup camera this June, but I don't think it will help much. I just now allow a half hour or more whenever I need to change implements. I know that if I had a big concrete area I could put the implements on casters and move them around, but I have gravel and that's not an option.
