Pat's Easy Change trouble

After reading these QH threads for a long long time, just about everywhere on the internet, I say, just get the stuff that actually works guys. It's a one and done deal.

Yes, it requires cutting and welding the new hooks being that it's not offered standard in the US. Yes it may be a little bit more expensive upfront but it just works, doesn't extend the arms, retains the ball/socket movement so it doesn't bind going up and down and it's crazy strong plus it doesn't put a frame in the way of connecting the PTO shaft like those HF QH.

Grab a set of balls for each implement and you can even get rid of the lynch pins that the brush keeps pulling out and just lock the implement lower pin with a bolt and nut.

I bought a set of Pats many years ago. The concept is nice but still requires hands on to use. I made my own spreader bar (does help)
Still not a quick hitch.
I finally did get an actual quick hitch, big difference. I did have to modify a couple implements but very well worth it.
Pat has lived in its box ever since.

I must be doing something wrong. I put them on a couple of years ago. I switch from grader blade to rake to draw bar with trailer ball, honestly within less than a minute. I don’t have any problem. I think their great.

I purchased the quick hitch and glad I did
just back up to unit pickup landplane drop levers and away I go. For the tiller need to attach the drive shaft
This quick hitch is very fast nothing to mess with except to drop the locking levers. I looked at Pat's units and decided they are more trouble than they are worth. I don't have to hook up the top hitch as the quick hitch does it. The quick hitch costs more but its well worth it!

Just a sidenote to this thread. (And OH Those European ball hitches are nice, but $$$)

I put on the Pat's units because my often used chipper/shredder gets used about equally between two tractors, and the Kubota B7200 needed longer lift arms to use the same pto shaft length that is right for the Hurlimann.

The side note is, the way the Kubota 3 point is laid out, the lift arms swing in when left to their own tendencies.
THIS IS INCREDIBLY AGGRAVATING! when trying to jostle the attachment and get pins to align.
I went without a spreader bar for about 1 day!

The other tractors do not display that same trait. Go figure....

AgristoreUSA as an entire Cat1 kit for $280. If you buy individual parts instead of the kit, you can actually put it together for less than the Pats. Is it slightly expensive than Pats or those HF QH? Sure but it also just works right, first time. No bolts breaking, no binding, no frame in the way.
