Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

I have not called I only sent two emails. It seems like I never think of calling once I get home and I can't call from here (work).
Please, I don't want anyone not order from them because of my experience. It may be just a fluke.

Although I find it interesting that after advertising on TBN they would not notice my little gripe and contact me.

You know, your e-mail may be falling into spam traps either at there ISP or at their email reader itself. I was not getting mail from my agent because my isp thought it was spam (for no aparent reason). I've found snail mail and phone calls are the only trustworthy way to contact people now that SPAMers have ruined dependable e-mail contact for everyone else.

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

Moon,

I heard that the company I got my tooth bar from also makes forks. I have not confirmed that fact yet, but if that is the case, I am going to order my forks from them. Their tooth bar (which I got yesterday) is excellent. Heavy duty and appears well made. Check my previous post in this thread for the link if you are interested. Oh, ask about the forks if you should happen to call them, maybe they will make you a deal if you get both at the same time...

Terry, I don't think anybody would base their decision to buy from this company based on just your experience so far. Actually, your situation may be resolved with a single telephone call, and trust me, I know how hard it is sometime to just get that one call done. My concern is more centered on ChucKva's remarks about the several calls and not getting anything done until he actually spoke to the owner. This implies to me that the owner may not have such a good relationship with his employees. Regardless of why, this could spell trouble. I hope you get a chance to call this company and get your situation straighten out. I have not ruled out the purchase of my forks from this company, yet, but I will be asking a lot of question before I make that commitment. Thanks for your post.

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

I just got off the phone with the owner. He said he had a "bottleneck" with orders and that a bunch of forks were shipped out Monday and more will be shipped today.
He could not verify if I was one of them so I'll wait and see.

It sounds like a mom and pop business that thanks to TBN got a little overwhelmed.

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

Thats good news Terry. Sounds like you oughta be getting your forks any day now.
If you have a tooth bar I'd be interested in whether you have to take it off to mount the forks or not. Pics would be great if you can.

Thanks for the info BigMike. I like the looks of the tooth bar, it sure looks well made. Thats the one I'm thinking of getting when the time (cash) is right.

Ordered 10 sets of forks via e-mail and received them within 5 days. The owner is a great guy so please be patient they are really busy and that is a good thing !

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

Just an update...

I never got what I ordered.

It's been a month and I've emailed and called these guys.
I've also been fair not to criticize but hey, I want my forks so I plan on ordering from someone else.
To me this is not a good way to do business.

Terry, sorry to hear you have not gotten what you ordered, /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif but thanks for keeping up posted. I have been watching to see how your situation turned out as I will be in the market for forks in the future.

Thanks

Re: Payne\'s Clamp on Bucket attachments a no show

Terry, sorry to hear about your saga, that is strange, as I ordered a set of forks last Monday (5/17) and they arrived yesterday. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Still in the back of my truck though...
