Thanks for the recent posts. I'm going to look at a BX tractor tomorrow with FEL and Bush Hog. I didn't get the exact model, but it has under 100 hrs, and is 1/4 mile from me! I was told about it a while back, and when I called I found out it was a BX model, and I was looking for the B model. He didn't want to sell at that time anyway. Well....got the call today that he just figured he didn't need it anymore, and he would price it for a quick cash sale...so off I go and I'll report back tomorrow. I'm just hoping the model is one of the better ones listed w/o hydro issues. At least I can see for myself how good/bad it might be even if it is one of those suffering from the hydro. issues.

Stay tuned,
Jeff

Have you got the done deal B3200 yet? I have a BX2350 and the "hydro problem" does take some getting used to. With practice and a light foot it's not that big of a deal. Having owned other Kubota hydros it is more noticeable since they don't work as "sharply" to your change of direction. Getting travel urge and Helen comes to mind. How's weather? Probably be down in a couple of weeks. Send price of the BX if you don't buy and maybe I'll bring my trailer.:)

I haven't "closed the deal" on the 3200 yet because of some insider news at Kubota. A friend of mine, who is buying a BX25, is a vendor at the Kubota plant and after a meeting that lasted all day with management....he was told to hold off on buying the tractor until next Thurs. He was told that they were working on a deal where the vendors could buy direct from Kubota...but it seems like there's more. It sounds a little like maybe Kubota is about to come out with an employee pricing plan??? Like GM did? I don't know this to be the case, but I do know he was told not to make a purchase until after next week until the news was released....so I have my Credit App. frozen until I know more. I really need the tractor! But, if I can save additional $$$'s, I'll gladly wait! Heck....Kubota is right down the road from me anyway....not even 30 min!

Well....I took a look at the little BX tractor today and it turned out to be a 2350, FEL, Scrape blade, and Bush Hog. 54 hours total....so pretty new. It has the fiberglass canopy also. Now I know what everyone has been complaining about....the reverse stop is very abrupt. The plastic shroud underneath the steering wheel won't stay on either. I really love the look of the tractor, but I don't prefer the plastic parts as they have already faded somewhat, and the reverse issue bothers me. Still a nice tractory though.

John....weather here is great...but next week will be cold and rainy...with chance of frozen precip. We are heading south for a few days for Spring Break...so maybe we will miss it!

I'll let everyone know if I find out something about this Kubota contractor pricing/employee pricing plan....if there's anything to it.

Oh yeah......I'll be buying the 3200 from Barlows. :)

The same GM that had a stock price of $20+ a year ago and now is $2?

I hope that is as close as they get to GM practice!

Now to close my wallet for another week.

Yeah I know! You had to wonder if this recession was ever gonna' reach Kubota. I don't think any corporation is safe...but some must have been in better shape to enable them to weather this as long as they have. Maybe it will be a good sales plan for all concerned....especially me. :)

...you may want to check in with B2630 and B3030 owners to see what they say about their machines packing down their lawns, etc....

Be aware that a MMM on these tractors is not suspended by a mid-carriage, adjustable lift suspension. Full weight is on the MMM wheels at all times. The tractor is not designed with mowing as one of its primary tasks, as is a BX. You can get a MMM for these and mow with it, but be aware of this limitation.

I mowed with my BX2350 yesterday and only got "whiplash" 2 or 3 times from the abrupt reversal of direction. By easing off the pedal in either direction and waiting till the tractor stopped forward or reverse direction then pressing pedal again I was able to operate it with no abrupt movement. When I forgot and let off pedal quickly or pressed pedal quickly it reacts quickly. Some engineer probably thought that a quicker response to pedal action would be an improvement but after production and customer feedback they sent that engineer back to Ferrari and went back to the old standby tractor parts.:)
How much did the guy want for the used BX2350?

It's pretty easy to know you forgot, that fer sure!! It's usually the first time you use it that day and you get a wake up call reminder right away.

HEY KUBOTA ENGINEERS! Have you come up with a revised kit for us yet to fix the reverse issues ?

I've found a couple of very clean BX1500's...one with FEL model LA181. Does anyone know the realistic lifting capacity of the 181 FEL on this 1500? LBrown...what would a low hour 1500 be worth with MMM.....or with FEL & MMM?

Thanks,
Jeff
