Pellet Stoves

Love my Harman XXV pellet stove. Much less work than the wood stove. I burn about 2 1/2 tons per year.

From reading some of the posts here I would never buy a pellet stove either. But I do have a 12 year old Whitfield that I am very pleased with. Pellet stoves are nice. I can't imagine anyone not liking one.

One more vote for pellets. Much more convenient than the wood was, not to mention cleaner. Installing the correct pipe through the existing wood stove pipe was a piece of cake. Between the local building department and the manufacturers specifications it's not hard to get it right.

We burn about a ton & 1/2 each winter, I clean out the ashes once a year, brush down the firebox area every month or so. Heating our house for $300.00 a year works for me.
