I have an 89 Nissan Pick up with 44000 miles .
Bought it new in 89.

My 92 Toyota truck has 28000 miles on it.

LB, I think you must put more miles on your tractors than your pickups.;)

Up here in MAINE ,when you get up around 200000,the body is usually gone ,from all the road salt and calcium,no matter how much you wash them.Ive never owned a vehicle i didnt put at least 160,000 0n.I buy them all new ,and always get 10 to 12 years out of them.we always own 3 ,the oldest is my daily commuter ,until the newest is paid off ,then its retired when a new one comes in the family.
My oldest vehicle right now is a 98 jeep CHEROKEE ive painstakingly taken care of it.My oldest daughter is about to start driving and it will be hers, and well be a 4 car family:confused2:

200k? That is about where I buy them? LOL! Seems that way lately though. I picked up my F150 with 180 and am up to 192. My FL70 came with 550k but with a new head and turbo.

I used to do about 35k a year. I would buy new, do the required minimum maint. Sell at 100k before any issues. I just cannot see the loss when you drive off of the dealers loss these days. That and I would feel compelled to wash and wax and who has time for that? LOL!

My car will be over 150K by the time it's paid off. I usually sell right before 200k.

I've got a '95 Acura Integra with 227k, a '95 Ford Contour with 223K, a '99 Volvo V70 with 115k and a '02 Ranger with 57k. The Integra and the Contour have only required a few significant repairs. Not bad considering the years and miles. I have spent more than triple on Volvo repairs than the integra and contour combined! Needless to say I am not a fan of Volvo. The constant stream of broken Volvo parts would be amusing it they were not so outrageously expensive.

My wife's 94 Blazer had 260K, 13 years old when sold. Talked to the guy I sold it to recently, it now has 312K, no work other than oil, tires, etc. Those Chevy V8's might outlast the body up here in the land of salt.

I have a '95 Ford Aspire (made for Ford by KIA Motors Corp). Paid $800 with 168K on it. Now have 223K and only replaced the fuel pump (about $30 and 20 minutes work). It still gets 32MPG on the highway. Tough to find a new car which will do better without spending over $20K.

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with 175,000 miles and a 2005 Pontiac Vibe with 184,000. Bought both new.

Transmission went out on the Ram at 174,000 so I "retired" it from daily commute duty to weekend "need a pickup truck" duty and bought the Vibe.

Only really major thing on the Vibe has been replaced the Cat converter at 180,000.

Daily commute is 124 mi. round trip.

2000 Toyota Tundra Access Cab 4X4 4.7 litre. Bought with 91K now has 523K Has had two timing belt replacements one waterpump and the automatic trans is now starting to shift "Harshly". Never owned a Toyota that we didn't put over 300K on. We commute 273 Km each way fifteen times a month.

I'm guessing that you have changed a couple of timing belts. Is that correct? Our 2007 Vibe has a measly 44k miles on it. I bought it with just under 11k miles in 2008 and it's been a winner so far. I need to check, but I believe the timing belt is supposed to be replaced between 80k and 100k miles. I love how you open the hood and there is so much room around the engine. I also like that you can lay down the passenger seat and carry a 8' long 2x4 inside with the rear hatch closed.
