I had a skid steer concrete bucket at the end of my driveway a few years back, had $750 on a sign. Since it weighed 500 lbs, I put two harbor freight cheapo furniture dolly's under it to move it around on my driveway. Someone took the dolly's and was nice enough to set the bucket so the sign was facing the road so I could still sell it. No accounting for for some folks in the world.

Our garbage truck comes on Mondays. I've set quite a number of broken appliances, furniture, bags of grass clippings and leaves, etc. out at the end of the driveway on a Friday and they've nearly always disappeared by the end of the day Saturday. One time, and only one time, a guy rang our doorbell and asked my wife if he could have what I had put out there. All other times, the items just disappeared, but I sure didn't mind, and I figure it was just that much less work for our garbage men.

I just sold an old car on craigslist for $550 (it was an '87 but was very dependable). I had a guy text me that he REALLY wanted it and wanted me to hold it for him for a few weeks until he could get the money together... I told him that I had a bad experience with holding things for people who never showed up and that I would hold it if he gave me about $50 cash as collateral. He didn't like that idea....

A couple of weeks ago I was at the rifle range sighting in a new gun. When I go to the range I carry a small storage container with various items that facilitate the target shooting hobby. After shooting I was going to clean my gun.....

Someone had stolen the gun cleaning kit while I was down range checking my target.
I was really mad.....

What amazes me is to see an old mattress that someone tossed on the side of the road rather than haul off. An hour later it's usually gone. Who would A) do that and B) who would sleep on a mattress tossed by the side of the road? Straw stuffed a stitched bag would be better.

I have not been to my large bank barn in over two years and when I did go, my danuser post hole digger was gone! Had to be a two man job loading that thing into a truck.

No he doesn't, he just knows where an empty acre lot I own is located. I just happen to have an old burn barrel on the site. I never would allow someone from Craigslist to come to my house. If they'll steal a 30 year old barrel there's no telling what they'd steal from my house.

That's good, indeed!

I often see mattresses and furniture along the road to the landfill. It closes at 4:00 and I'm guessing some folks get mad and dump when they are too late. If I have room on my load, I'll stop and toss 'em on. The landfill charges by the ton for construction waste - but they've given me a free pass every time I've shown up with stuff I picked up along the way.

That is a pizzer.

When at the range (public), I keep my Swarovski's around my neck in the bino harness all the time... I'd be really pizzed if someone lifted a pair of 2300 dollar bino's.

My remote up north hunting property seems to collect stuff too. Was up hunting turkey last week and discovered an old tire carcass.

The road I live on collects mufflers, shocks and suspension parts but thats because it's dirt and rough and people drive with no common sense.
