Scotty,
How big are you planning? I like the idea of the concrete slab and that the building is put up quickly. I still have crushed rock for a floor. Had to wait to get the permits off before I installed power, water, phone, drains, etc. At least it is closed up for the winter. Already have a wood/oil combination furnace for heat sitting on a skid. Bought it second hand and got a good deal on it.
Where do you call home?
Regards,
David

roemro, Well you didn't really specify if it was for a garage sitting beside the house or something more removed from the house... So I put a link to my photos showing my barn/shop/garage, Also you could browse the photo section on this site for more great ideas.

Another website for great ideas is garagejunkies.net ,But I must warn you there is a lot of cha-ching $$$ involved:eek:

thanks guys for all the posts, I am going to get some pics of the side yard tomorrow and put them together for the wife and I will post them tomorrow. All of your posts have been helpfull. Thanks again, Now I just have to pick a design and part with some money. I was wanting up grade my tractor to a large one but thought it would be nice to have a home for it 1st.

Oh and it would be a detached garage in the back yard so we avoid 14 steps to the front of the house, our only garage at this time is a drive in into the basement and is only a one car. its where my jd 4110 sets now in bad weather and my 2 year old dogde sets out side with my wifes jeep.

again thanks

Roger

Here's a photo of my garage/barn/carriage house. It is 32 x 32 and houses both the tractor and the Packard plus work space.

Here is our 'detached' 30x42 garage which is attached via a breezeway... very nice for those rainy days. The breezeway also has lots of lights which my wife loves at night. The large door on the left is actually a drive through, there is a matching door on the back side of the garage.

I am going to start ground work this week end and pour next week I hope. All thanks to you folks here and your help in showing her what can be done with a garage.
