I don't mean to sound ignorant, but I am lol what is the purpose of the leveling bar? I'm new to the whole tractor realm.

So you can more easily see, from the seat, if the bottom of your bucket is parallel to the ground.

Hi, I had the same problem with my leveling device. The first time the rod came loose I replaced it, after straightening, but failed to notice a small spacer/washer that got away on me and didn't replace it when I reassembled the level indicator. For a year I farted around with blue locktite, then red plus lock washers all to no avail, it kept comming loose. Finally Dave from Bromley Farm was here on another matter and I pointed this out to him and it was fixed in minutes. He even manufactured the spacer on the spot from a hex nut which he ground down on my grinder!! He pointed out that missing the spacer turned the arm into a rachet that constantly turned the nut outward.
It would never stay tight without the spacer. I use the device all the time when plowing snow. I find it invaluable.

The washer goes on the top right? After reassembling I still find mine a little short when the bucket is level.

Thats why I locktited AND staked everything with the automatic center punch. Staking is my answer to anything you don't want to loosen up. Belt and suspenders approach.:)

You guys are very lucky no damage was done. When my dealer delivered my FEL, the driver was hooking it up on my tractor and when he raised it we heard a **** of a bang. The leveling rod was not attached properly and it snapped and went through my head light lens cover and smashed it to ****. Now I am waiting for a replacement light assembly, new rod and some paint for the scratches on the FEL arm lol.

Had a few of those pin retaining bolts come loose and 1 or 2 fall out. There is also a clip on the other side of the pin so no big deal really but it is annoying. CJ

Hey delgra I see you are from Combemere not far from me Quadeville lol. Bought my machine same place as you. Dave a heck of a nice guy and so are most of them at Bromley. I had some issues and they were kind of slow at responding and sort of pissed me off in a way but hey that's life lol

Kman.I have mostly good experiences with Bromley, on my second unit from as I started with a CK20 and am now eyeing an NX! Trying to get a reasonable trade in for my CK35 hst with about 1000 hours. Delays you experienced may have been due to Jims unfortunate bout with a brain tumor. I was there yesterday and Kate said the old boy was doing much better. I spoke to him on the phone and he sounded like his old self. See you at Quades getting colored diesel!!

delgra I knew Jim was off for health reasons but did not know that it was a brain tumor. Glad to hear that he is doing well. This is my first purchase with Bromley and it is just a fluke of bad luck or bad timing. I had heard good things about them and was surprised when this happened to me. I will have to be patient and see what happens. We do have colored diesel in Quadeville at the General store which is great, I just drive down to the village which is 3 km from my house so it is convenient. I know that in Combemere there is no gas stations so you have to go quite a ways to get some diesel unless you have your own tank. Anyway sorry about Jim hope he comes back to Bromley soon/
