mrutkaus,

Yep, I'm the someone you referred to in your recent reply. I'm glad to hear you took my suggestion and incorporated it into your repair. I also hope you will keep us posted if it seems to solve, or at least help solve the cooler leak dilemma.
Your pictures clearly show how the short stubby cooler lines might tend to stress the cooler's connection point at the top of the cooler.

Good luck with the new cooler.

Thanks CM. Yes there is still a great amount of rigidity with the flex hoses.

Holding my hand on the new flex/metal tubing while the engine is running, I can't feel any significant vibration, maybe there's more when the tractor is doing some work. Maybe something actually moves a lot when everythings's flexing?

Unless there is some big movement when in operation, I'm thinking that the vibration that does cause damage involves a very small movement and with the grommets there is enough relatively "free" movement in any direction. We will see.

The cooler itself seems fairly light duty, that might be part of the problem.

Kioti came up with something around $120 reimbursement to me on this oil cooler replacement for my out of warranty 2005 CK30H, hard to tell exact amount as returned the two bottom fittings.

It looks like my CK30 is up for this repair. It's a 2004 with the hard lines and developed a leak a few months back. For those who have had to pay for this repair - how much did the parts cost?

I have been told that the cooler is ~$300 and the flexible lines are ~$100!?! Has anybody found an alternative cooler that works? I am considering item 4F360 in Grainger catalog.

Keith, please give us a call or PM for current pricing on the cooler kit.

Thanks

After reading about the problems with the Oil Cooler I thought I would jump in here and add my two cents worth. After reading these notes I went looking
I have a 2005 Kioti CK30 Hst and I now have 820 hours on it and NO LEAKS, yet ... SO it puzzles me as too why some are having a leaking problem and some are not. Maybe a bad batch of coolers at the time of production ?
I had a New Passat car and it went through water pumps like crazy and they told me . Oh ! must have been a bad batch of pumps.

Interesting, what kind of land do you operate on and what kind of things do you do with your tractor? Only thing I could think of if there is anything else than randomness is perhaps people who stress the frame as in backhoe/going over hills & rocks/etc might be more prone to it.

If you were asking me Mrutkaus. I live here in Nova Scotia and I have 8 acres of land with a lot of it in bush and birch trees. 2 acres in lawn. Which is fairly flat. And mostly sand and clay. I put in Geo Thermal last fall and we went down 6 feet and never hit one rock, so that tells you the kind of soil I have here. I used my backhoe this summer to punch a road back to the back end of my property, it comes out into a big open area, and there is some swampy areas where I put the road ( can't get back there now after all the rain this week ) But I used the front bucket to push the alders and birch and bush over then dug them out with the backhoe. That little tractor worked real good as long as you weren't in a hurry to get the big stumps out. Then I teed off of that road and made another road out into my neighbours field which is not quite so wet.
The only thing I find about the Kioti tractors is that the HOE is only bolted together and it is coming loose all the time were the braces are. So I took the welder and welded them solid. No more shaking now and moving. Now we will see if it can take. I am not hard on my equipment as I have to pay for it and so I look after it .I came from a poor family I tell people.LOL.
Some people have no metal sympathy and that is when you start wrecking things.
The cooling lines on mine are the solid ones too and I thought they would be leakin.. Fingers are crossed.

I like that "metal sympathy" I know what you mean, I have it and few understand it (aside from most here, of course!

Well, maybe people with subframe backhoes get the oil cooler leaks? Just musing. I have the Woods BH80 with the subframe...

Yes few do understand it and more then a few don't have it . Sad things
would last longer for sure.
just got done digging out a big rock the wife wanted moved out of the flower garden.. I didn't think that little tractor would do it but it did.
That is interesting that Kioti is replacing the cooler hoses even if the tractor is out of warranty. That can only make for good customer relations.
Is there much difference in the BH80 hoe compared to the KB2375 ?
Is it bolted together or welded together ?
