Very nice!

I just purchased a new B3200/LA504. I had the dealer order and install the ATI Quick attach (tach-all) assembly for me. I ordered a quick attach plate from Ebay and I'm in the process of welding up an old 6' truck plow to the plate. When the snow flies I can push or pile the white stuff. In addition, I can use other skidsteer attachments. I just wish I had an extra set of hydraulic hook-ups on the FEL.

Looks good - any problem getting the pins out?

How do you like the toothbar? Also - those plates on the side of your bucket for the toothbar - are those welded or are you just using them as washers? I've got a toothbar coming but don't really want to weld the plates on. Lastly - is that the 60 inch bucket and is that why you got 6 teeth? Inquiring minds want to know :) - Thanks

No problems getting the pins out.

I really like the tooth bar, and the side plates just being used as washers.

I have a 54" bucket.

Nice set up...
I have been thinking of upgrading my B3200/LA4504 to QA. I have been told by the dealer that I will have to buy a new QA bucket in addition to the QA kit for the loader arms. That is contrary to what some posters have told me here.
Were you able to use your "pin attach" bucket without modification or did you buy a QA bucket?

Thanks,
Jim

I suspect you are getting confused between the Kubota proprietary QA, which uses the original bucket unmodified.......... and a skidsteer style QA, which uses a universal skidsteer style bucket attachment.

Ductape is correct.

I didn't have to make any modifications to anything to attach or use my QA Kit.

It is my understanding that some of the other QA kits, like the ATI version "may" require some modification to your bucket in order to use their QA Kit. Check out there website for the details.

The cost of my Kubota version was $266, not sure what the ATI version sells for.

Jim, I put the skidsteer style on my B3030. I had to cut the original bracketry off the back of the bucket and weld on a skidsteer style adapter. I did much of it myself to save some money, but its probably cheaper to just buy a skidsteer-ready bucket than pay parts and labor to have someone convert your original bucket. You would need to asses what you think you will want for attachments on the front of your tractor, and that will dictate which way to go. The factory Kubota set-up is really only compatible with their bucket and forks. It would be a little cheaper to go this way, and perfectly fine if you don't see yourself using other attachments on your loader. The skidsteer style will cost you more, but there are more options as far as attachments go. I'll include a couple pics of my skidsteer style QA for you comapre to stu's

Thanks to all for your responses to my bucket compatibility question and to you, Ductape for your SSQA pictures. After reading many posts/threads on TBN I came to the same conclusion that you all did...LA504 QA is limited to bucket and forks right now and uses the pin attach bucket / Skid Steer QA will require a bucket mod or new bucket, but gives more flexibility concerning attachments. My latest confusion came when I called my dealer to order the Kubota LA504 QA kit and he told me I would need a new bucket. I didn't want to argue with him over the phone and was going to visit him on Sat AM. I guess now, I should make a decision as to which way to go...SSQA or not.
Decisions...Decisions
Thanks again for your help. This forum is truly an asset to all tractor owners.

SSQA probably adds more weight than the Kubota QA, so that could be a consideration as well. It would be for me anyway with my LA364 loader.

Jim,
I think whomever you were speaking to was just mistaken. You won't need a new bucket with Kubota's QA kit. As bstrom stated, there is less of a weight penalty with the Kubota kit vs. skidsteer, so if you don't think you'll need to go much beyond swapping buckets and a set of forks the Kubota kit would be the way to go. :)

Ductape,

I think you are correct. The salesperson I was talking with may have been thinking of the QA for the L series, which is SS. The weight issue isn't as big as I originally thought. The ATI SSQA kit weighs 78 lbs. The plate to be welded to the bucket would add a few more, but not that much. I would think that the Kubota QA kit weighs about 50 lbs...not that big a difference.
A bigger consideration for me would be what SS attachments could I use on the B3200. The limiting factor for some attachments would be the hydraulic capacity of the B3200 vs the attachment's hydraulic requirement. I was looking at a SS attach post hole digger that required 15 GPM...The B3200 max's out at 9.9 GPM. I expect anything that runs on a hydraulic motor would require 15 GPM or so. I guess I am leaning toward the Kubota QA.

Thanks for your insight.

Jim

You are right, our tractors are on the light end of using any of the skidsteer stuff....... nevermind having similar hydraulic capacities. There are members here who do run smaller hydraulic post hole augers. Charlesaf is one I think of first since its right in his avatar. Certainly most other hydraulic skidsteer attachments are gonna be off limits. I went skidsteer mostly because of the ease of finding attachments..... especially used ones. I made an attachment to lift things, and move trailers, but also forsee myself wanting other things like a grapple, bucket with teeth, perhaps a stump bucket, forks, work platform, etc. With the skidsteer set-up..... should I ever get a different tractor, I can keep all those attachments for the next tractor. They are both good options...... its all in what you are willing to spend and what other attachments might be in your future.

One of the nice things for my setup, and my useage is that all I wanted was to be able to switch between my bucket and my grapple.

I spoke with WR Long and before I ordered and explained that I wanted to be sure that the OBG2-48 Grapple they were going to make for me would have the same pin fitup as the bucket does for the LA 504 loader because I wanted to be able to use the Kubota QA. They assured me that it would and it fits perfectly.

I think the ATI version is clearly better suited for those who have a need for various SSQA items.

I highly recommend the ATI skidsteer type mount if that is way a person wants to go. I am very pleased with with it. It works great and looks as good as a factory part.

My dealer had it installed on my new tractor for me and it came with an ATI bucket. Adding it to the new package cost me $599 extra. Considering the cost of a new bucket alone, I don't think this was too bad for the bucket and the mount (of course they kept the original bucket so that offsets their cost).

I'll post some pictures later if I can figure out how to do it!

Anyone know what the options are for the L2800/3400 for QA. I have the old style LA463 loader and I don't think QA was an option back in 06.

Here are a few pics of the ATI skidsteer type QA on my B3200 (I hope this works, it's the first time I've attached pictures).
