I do, I have a '66 2dr 428. I just don't have any pics here at work. I will try to remember to post something this weekend.

I think the specs on the tractor said it weighs just a little over 3k and I don't know what the loader adds to it. That is my neighbors trailer and it is very heavy so it transported good, hardly knew it was back there except for when taking off. I could hear the turbo whine a little more than normal. I don't know much about the trailer other than it is very heavy duty.

No it is not a pistol range, my shooting range is on the other side of the barn. I have a dirt pile I shoot into and have have right at about 200 yrds to shoot. It comes in nice for sighting in rifles!

Well now you know one of my first projects. How much dirt do you think is sufficent? I was planning for pistol about a 25 Yrd 4ft dep. with all the dirt from the trench used as the pile. I'm wooded so I just thought that would be good.

How well does it perform as a mower?

I'm looking at the CT122 / or even 225/230 bobcats but I'm concerned about leaving ruts in the ground because they are so heavy! The CT122 is ~2,000 lbs. and the 2XX are ~3,000 lbs. I would probably go with a belly mower.

Well, here is a scan of a picture of my car. That is the best I can do for now. I forgot that we lost all of our pictures when our hard drive crashed a couple of years ago. The worst part of that whole deal was my wife and I just got back form our honeymoon and lost all of the pictures from that and the wedding! The wife was NOT happy.

I also had a bit of an accident and I am now looking for a passenger door. If anyone has any idea where I can come up with a door for a '66 2 door hardtop Galaxie/LTD, please let me know because I am not having much luck finding anything.

It has not rained much since I bought it so I really can't say how it will do in a soggy yard. My soil drains pretty quickly so I don't think it will be an issue but I have a ZTR I can use if it is.

Yes, I dug the whole thing with the 230. I do have teeth on my bucket but I don't know how much that really helps. It seemed to. The hole was about 6' deep when I was done with it. Of course it was not a quick job, I worked on it for a few hours for several days. It saved me from having to pay someone to come do it and I got to try my new tractor out!

Galaxy, I tried digging the same type of hole with my 225 I too got stuck. I was able to curl my way out. I have loaded tires and had my bush hog on the back. My tractor just doesn't seem to want to back up. My neighbor came over with his 30hp kubota (B7800) and finished the job easily in mid range w/turf tires. He did have about 700#'s of weight on the back of his tractor though..Im just wondering if its a bobcat gearing design or if there is something wrong with my hydro. I was in 4wd and was using the wheel lock. My neighbor was flying while digging and his tractor had no problems. Maybe I should try with his weights but we filled in the hole today.

Dont feel bad I have a new 440 and it cant get out of its own way!!!:(

I cant even pick up a load of dirt in loader and try to back up without stalling. Id have to say the hydro's in these Bobcats suck.

Tinman,

Have you had the dealer check it out? That just doesn't seem right. Mine seems to have plenty of power but my ground is flat. When I was digging the hole, I was able to back out in med range until I got so deep that I wanted it in low. I didn't have a ballast so my rear was a little light.

My dealer told me that when I feel like I start losing power that I need to change me fuel filter. He says that fixes it most of the time unless something else is wrong.

I have not yet contacted my dealer yet. Im still trying to figure out the heck is wrong, pin point if its a fuel related issue or hydro. I keep thinking its just new to me but for a 41hp tractor it seems like a big pig, lol.

My old John deere 955 would run and work rings around this new one.
