What is the max. size picture you can post without going over the 100000 limit? I posted an 800x600 and it said it was too big so I cut it down to 640x480 and it is still too big!

Most photo-editing software has a compression setting you can use. Play with that until the filesize gets under the limit.

You should be able to compress a 800x600 file enough that it still looks good for PC viewing.

I've been posting them and 800x600 and they were fine, now it won't let me, if I go below 640x480 you can hardly see the picture.

The dimension of the photo does not in itself determine the file size.

When I say compress ... I'm saying that the file will still be 800x600, but the filesize will be compressed. Usually this option would be someplace in the Save As... dialog box.

If you're using Windows XP there's a free program available at "Powertows for Windows XP" on the MS website. I think it's called "Image Resizer". Haven't used it but have seen it recommended. You're striving to keep a decent pixel size for screen viewing but reduce the resolution to reduce file size the way I understand it.

Thanks Guys! I finally found it under JPEG I/O options, Compression Quality, I moved it to 40% and that did the trick.
Thanks again!
