The wife calls it a creek, I call it a drainage ditch. Either way it is beautiful when full of water. Someone told me, If god made it, it's a creek. If man made it, it's a ditch. I'm satisfied with that answer. In one area, the previous owners dozed through it to run a waterline under it. They repaired the drainway ok, but left the surrounding areas looking like a bomb went off. Will nature repair this damage, or should I help with some relocating of rocks and boulders to try and regain some of the natural appearance? I didn't take a picture of the damaged area, but it basically looks like one of these pics with a double dozer wide swath cut through it with boulders piled up on the side.

Great looking creek. From the pictures you wouldn't know that an area is not natural looking. It would bother me that part of the creek did not look the same. I would move some rocks and other material in to make it look natural.

Looks like a creek to me, though I suppose if it goes dry when the rain stops it might be questionable. Nice pictures, though. Water droping down through the woods is a pretty sight.

Thanks guys! We really love it. I'ts very tranquil to sit down by it, even when it's dry. I think the best thing is actually the sound of the water rushing down the rocks when it is full and flowing.

Ken those are some nice shots. Must be nice having your own waterfall or two.

I've got 20 acres and a hunt/fish cabin on the side of a mountain overlooking the Hill Creek arm of the lake, just east of the town of Greers Ferry. My dad and five of my uncles bought adjoing parcels for $4 an acre right after WWII, way before the lake was even an idea. At that time, the area was the only place in AR where there was any deer left and they loved to hunt. I vaguely remember riding "Greer's Ferry" across the Little Red River to get there from the south in the early 60's. Crossing that ferry put you in true Ozark hillbilly country and was like stepping back in time a century.

Fishing up there was phenomenal this year BTW
