Pictures of you on your tractor

I think that a lot of issues arise from some people not having been there. It's sad that we have lost so many family farms. Once they left the farm they never went back and their children never had the chance to experience the life. Probably the father never spoke nice of the farm because it is hard to remember the good times when you lose something. Inflation caught the family farmer in a bad spot. The hard work never caught up with the rising costs of living. You had to have the money or leverage to go big time or the small farm couldn't pay for itself. So sad...:(

The good news is that people are looking to get back to those times when life seemed simpler. So the small guy may find a way to succeed again. Organics are becoming more popular and let's hope that it is more than a fad.:D

Pictures of my grandad (he's 81) on his 3610 planting my corn with a one row Covington planter. I was the population monitor (I walked behind the planter to make sure it was picking up seeds). The other picture is relaxing after corn planting.

I am sorry that I ticked so many off with my comments, I have a problem with speaking my mind, no one will ever convince me that it is a good idea to to ride your kids around in the bucket of a tractor!

As far as being out of touch, I was born and raised on a cattle farm and continue to farm my families land, I have operated tractors and heavy equipment for over 20 years.

We all give our opinions on here daily, I am not trying to be "big brother" as someone said, I was giving an opinon, and others have agreed with me on the dangers, just use your heads guys, children are our future, and we need to protect them as much as we can.

Over protecting kids would probably result into bigger problems later on when they'll be teens... Trust me!

Anyway, that's not the point. Here's my me on my little tractor at our new place (Sorry, no kids to put in the bucket yet ;)):

I wondered the same thing, why did they let the lad do that so close to the drop off? I am very into safety when I operate. I think it whould have been safer on flat ground.
