Finally! The used blower came home back when the weather was hot and it seemed like Winter was a very long way off. This afternoon I finished wiring the motor and linear actuator (wearing a heavy coat). Where did the time go? Another thing I want to try is the add-on wings for the bucket. Each attaches with one 1/2" bolt. There's a small tool bag in the cab with a good quantity of shear bolts and the wrenches to fit them, along with assorted pins, Nylock nuts, etc.
I discovered the cable that goes around the chute needs to be "sloppy loose" to work well. The original manually operated turning mechanism had what I thought was way too much slack in the cable. When I reassembled the blower I made the cable neat and tight. When I tried the rotator, it wanted to bind. After doing away with a wrap or two it works great.
