Missing from this picture is the Ariens 10 hp walk-behind snow blower. The 755 with the FEL was my main machine since 1992. Prior to that I had a John Deere 112 Garden Tractor with blower and blade, and a Ford 9N with front plow.

The Gator HPX now does everything but the front walk, where I use the Ariens because of width.

While adjusted the skid plates today to highest level (for gravel lane) noticed the "whackers". Didn't know they had a name :) and wondered about the purpose. Guess it's to bust up drifts, prevent end-of-auger snow jams, strengthen the auger or some combination of those 3? :confused3:

Those whackers are there to start the process of moving snow to the center of the blower and the impellar. Good for crusty and hard snow. Or drifts.

Just got my MK Martin Meteor. It clears a 60" path while my B3030 is 61 1/2 inches wide. I'm having a pair of 3" wings fabricated for the blower then I'll be all set!

I guess the guy controls it with a remote from his garage. I thought about that thing running into the road too!
Anyway it wasn't much snow, That's 'practice snow' up here!

Rob

That's not even enough snow to waste gas on.

Our place is on a steep driveway(1000') that we share with 2 others houses. We have been paying to plow it the past 5 years. I attempted to snow blow it with a cubcadet garden tractor. But it could barley make it up the hill with out getting stuck. Thats with chains. wheel wheights, and a hard sims cab. So This year I hope the kubota will do the trick!!!!
