Just an interesting thing to do. Take an average small laser equipped level, point it at a distannnnt road sign. Impressive reaction.

Some new standards hurt the intended safety of First Responders. There are new reflective standards for road signs. All signs are being replaced with new, more reflective signs. These signs, especially the large Exit signs are absolutely blinding when approaching with high beams. These standards make no sense.

The tractor does have hydrostatic, so that fits. I live in Syracuse and on top of a hill - Syracuse is one of the snowiest cities in the US! I have a 72" blade on the front which is great 80% of the time, but that 20% can really put a damper on the day! The driveway is over 1000' too.A lot depends on how much snow you get.
My Local JD dealer once told me that blowing snow is the hardest work many tractors will ever do.
Some blowers simply work better than others too. I had a 6 foot lucknow blower on a 42 hp gear tractor in deep snow country and it worked. ALSO, many gear drive tractors are seriously lacking reverse speed options. You better hope you have a wet clutch if you are constantly going to be stopping and starting to feed the blower. It's where a hydrostat really shines by comparison.
