PS… for ANYONE reading this that concludes that I’m anti-hunter, anti-hunting, anti-4-wheeling, anti hiker, camping, other anti anti’s…you are flat wrong. We have some people that use our very land to hunt. This ain’t about ‘hunting’, just happens to be ‘hunters’ (and I use that very loosely for them) that seem to cause the majority of our issues… let me rephrase that… the preponderance of our issues seem to occur during hunting SEASON, when typically we get more hunters out our way than campers. Does it mean it’s hunters doing all of this? No. Conversely, is it reasonable that if something quacks like a duck, swims like a duck…to conclude that it might WALK like a duck? I think so.

Seems like he states here that it is people who act with out regard to others. It is true that if someone is likley to shoot somthing it would be in hunting season as that is when it is normal to see people with guns.

Lumping every one in or out of hunters does not work, it is the individual. I do not think that Richard was trying to be offesive or lump every one together.

But think what you want.

Sorry for your loss Richard. I have a Lab mix that loves to dig as well. I don't believe I could contain myself as well as you have. I commend you and your efforts.

It's not about hunters, it's not even about bad hunters. Its about bad people with no morales.

I am sorry you feel that way. I am really POd about being grouped with criminals. There is no way to justify any crusade against a entire group of people just because of the actions of a single low life. If I am arrogant for speaking my mind so be it. I understand Richards loss, Pain and anger. I do not understand the need to slander others to promote a self declared war. This hardly seems the place for such offensive language or topics. All I have asked is that we stop nameing criminals as hunters. If this indeed is non political I fail to see why any one would have any reservations about this. Dave

I'm sorry that you feel this way, I am also sorry that you need to hijack a string from Richard when he is in pain and grief for state your political agenda.

I might point out that non hunting people have rights just as the hunting population does.

As a side line here, it is MUCH more likely that it was some person hunting than drug dealers or terrorists, although these type of people and the acts that they commit are atrocious.

I Think at this juncture we are both Hijacking and showing poor form. I am certain that I never suggested those who might have strong feelings against hunting do not have rights. I hope those rights do not extend to false statements accusations or other vengeful innuendos any more than I would Hope those are pro hunting would take a similar tact. All I have asked is that we respect each other and drop the labels. Its a simple, polite and respectful which offers far more respect and restraint than has been shown by others. Dave
