Re: Pictures & Specs on new TND-A & TNS-A UK Versi

What year is your TN? The mid mount couplings was a change they put into the TN's this summer. The original TN's went out of the back with straight connectors, then they switched to angled connectors out the back to reduce the stress on the hoses. But they always went out the back till this year, unless the dealer set it up differently somehow.

I never noticed any of those things like you described. I do know the metal is very strong on the tractor and will take a lot of limbs and other abuse. Also, the steps are very secure and will hold up to a lot (which is something I have never been happy with on the 1920). I have hooked vines with the steps and ripped off the tops of trees without hurting the steps any. Also, I have had the steps buried in mud and had to be pulled out and the steps held up fine to that as well. So unless they changed something recently, I would not be worried about them. I think I might have to go visit my dealer and see if they did change anything /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I must say I am a little disappointed in those pictures of the "UK" tractors /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. They may be blue and white, but I can not find the words "University of Kentucky", nor is the Wildcat emblem anywhere to be found /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. My conclusion is that these tractors are not "officially licensed" by the University of Kentucky and should be considered "grey market" tractors. GO CATS /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif!!!

Re: Pictures & Specs on new TND-A & TNS-A UK Versi

If you can find a TN55 that has 4WD, you can probably get a great deal on it. They've been discontinued and the prices are very good on them. Best of all, with just the turn of a screw on the fuel pump you can turn your TN55 into a TN65. They share the exact same engine and the only thing holding the power back on a TN55 is a minor adjustment on the pump. It's a great way to get a TN65 cheap...

I ordered a standard TN65. I don't think the other models were even available when I put the order in.

Re: Pictures & Specs on new TND-A & TNS-A UK Versi

I just came back from my dealers and I think you might have been looking at the TT 55. They look similar and I agree, the steps do look like an afterthought. That tractor is more just a makeover and NH tried to update the 3010 to look like the rest of the lineup and I guess the steps are one of the casualties to make the 3010 look better. Didn't look at the sheet metal much but the TT is a economy tractor so it wouldn't surprise me if the metal was a tad thinner. They also have the big bulges at the back of the rear fenders which would account for the square look you talked about.

As for the TN-A, my dealer told me the TN-A's that are at dealers lots as well as the TC-A's are not for sale. They are there to show customers what the tractors will look like for next year. Might make some people order tractors early if they want the old body style. The TN-A's are not going to start shipping till spring. I don't know when the regular TN's will cease production if they haven't already. Hopefully Spencer will join in and help out some.

Thanks for letting us know. Do you have any TN-A's on your lot yet?

Even being able to sell the red ones(they don't look the same) I still think those tractors look like something out of the Caddillac literature.

My TN75D I think is a 2002. It definately has mid mount loader outlets from the factory in addition to 2 other remote hydraulics coming out of the rear. One of the rear ones is plumbed to the front loader for attachments. It also has the electro hydro PTO control near the hand throttle that I love. I used to have the lever coming out under the steering wheel. I have never seen this control on another TN. It may be a little different, since New Holland engineering had it build especially for me in Italy to replace a TN75S that was causing me no end of trouble with it's electronics. They took the TNS back to engineering to find out what was wrong with it. I was also told they also made changes to the computers and wiring harnesses in the newer TN's. One thing I've learned about New Holland is that they have many options that are only available in certain countries.

Re: Pictures & Specs on new TND-A & TNS-A UK Versi

That makes sense. You got a special tractor and the fact yours was built as part of a deal to replace a disfunctional tractor they must have added the latest and greatest upgrades that were not available over here yet. Now I almost wish they would have traded my TN off for a new one /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The TN's are nice machines and New Holland has done a great job of working out the kinks as fast as they can and making their customers happy. Now the TN's are going to be sold as Case-IH's as well as Steyr's so the TN line is going to really explode on the market as all the red guys will start buying the red TN's. Have a Happy Holidays.

It's interesting that we have almost the same pair of machines. We both have a TN and one of the larger size 20 series. Mine is a 2120 which I've had since 1987 and love. I got mine before they fixed the fllexing step problem so the step isn't connected to the tractor case but rather to the floor board resulting in a nice kink in the rear fender. It is also before they added the modulation feature on the HSS. You have a nice holiday also.

Re: Pictures & Specs on new TND-A & TNS-A UK Versi

I grew up using a 1920 on my neighbors farm working in the vineyards and orchards. So when I had a chance this year to get a 1920 like it but with a loader (even though I didn't need another one) I got it. It is too light for most work but is handy for working in towns around job sites and for working in tight places around our pens where the TN is either too big or too heavy to take. My neighbors 1920 has had the step replaced with a homemade job. It is built a lot heavier and he added a step as he is getting older and can't walk as well. His tractor has seen a lot of hours as it gets used every day and does a lot of brush chopping as well as running a sprayer a lot during the summer season. The only problem he has ever had with his tractor were from his own doing. A stick bent the power steering cylinder and that was it. From using his tractor and seeing how well it held up is why I decided to look for a 20 series instead of getting a new TC. Would have like to get a 2120 but didn't find one that would compare to the 1920 I got thru this board.

You don't have any plans to buy a TL do you? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi to all i have a TN60DA, its a 2004 year model and i had a guy do some repair work on it ,and it appears that hes in a tight spot whereas he took the timing cover off because he dropped a screw on there and he had to remove the hi and low pump gears. Now after retrieving the screw he is now telling me that he has forgotten the timing marks ,long story short anyone have a diagram of the correct timing for my machine i would be very grateful. Once again its a new Holland td60da three cylinder any help is appreciated.
