I have a B6200 kubota tractor that I recently purchased. The clutch went on it and I am in the process of changing it. The clutch kit came with a pilot bushing so I thought I should change it at the same time. I noticed when I took out the old bushing there is a hole around 3/16" in the bushing. It appears that it is to allow for lube on the shaft end. However there doesn't appear to be a hole to match it to in the end of the crankshaft. There is an oil seal on the end of the crank. Am I missing something? How does that bushing lube? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really don't want to take this apart again. Thanks....Vic

I looked in my B 6200 parts manual, but it doesnt show the pilot bushing. Most pilots are oilite type bushings and are self lubricating, soak it in motor oil prior to installation, is my best guess.

cheers,
Dave

In my parts book it shows it as part of the crankshaft on engine assembly. It has was appears to be a yellow nylon material lining the inside of the bushing. Is that an oilite type? Thanks for your quick response.

oilite bushings are typically all sintered bronze construction from what I remember. The yellow nylon material is probably the lubricant for the bushing. Id put a little lubriplate (white grease) on it, and install.
