Tractor
2009 Kubota BX25
There seems to be about 2 kinds of owners on this forum. Those that USE their equipment on the farm or in business, hard working son of guns; then there are those that like lots of implements and attachments to do that odd job that comes up it seems once or twice a year, that like to have the equipment to do it right. This is where I fall in. This tractor is my toy and vice. What have you guys done to your tractors to pimp your ride? Custom wheels? Custom trailers? Tunes? Lets see some pics!

Mine works for a living, the best thing i did for it was pay it off. Sorry I don't have any suggestions.

I keep mine looking good and as original as possible. No pimpin here. :)

No mud flaps or curb feelers here either :D just a clean old tractor to have around for the need, I did know an old dude truck driver many years ago that pimped out his Riding mower with baby moon caps, mud flaps with the nude girly on them, amber running lights, and had a bulldog ( Mac )hood ornament, mirror, had that old chrome door trim on everything that it would go on, I was surprised to know he had no CB radio, I'm sure you got the picture ;) He was one of them truckers from back in the 60's-70's-80's and his Big rig was done up just the same, I'm sure if he was still alive today and owned a tractor he would have it pimped to the gill:cool: where do them truckers get all that stuff:D

In my book I equip with options my tractor to what is needed for work (play) that is to be done.
Front End Loader
Bucket Level Indicator
Triple Remotes
Top and Tilt
Skid Steer Quick Detach
3 point quick hitch
Block Heater
Rear Work Light

To be added:
ROPS lights- 2 forward, 2 back
Front Auxiliary Hydraulics

Here is the start to my attempt to brush proof my baby before taking it into the thick stuff with the bush hog. The light covers are 4" box with 3/8" SS rod on the edges. The knerf bars are 1" aluminum mounted outside the fenders to try to keep the brush from getting to the paint. I don't have a picture of the brush guard yet. Cow catcher comes to mind.

The trim looks nice, and is the square tubing for a good handhold an addition as well?

For brush cutting, I back into the brush that may scratch my tractor. :) If the brush is low, then I may drive forward and keep the bucket low to push it over (your cowcatcher idea). But most brush cutting is in reverse.

im gonna weld hooks on the bucket of my brand new jd 5105m. thats about it so far.

The sqaure tube in front of the platform is stock. It has a plexiglass window inside it. It keeps the mud off in wet conditons. And also the heat in dry.

Well I don't know if any of this qualifies as "Pimping" but I've done a few things that I enjoy every time I get in the tractor. My tractor is used commercially but only for snow clearing.

The modifications are as follows:

- Modified the FEL tubes for storage area's.

- Modified the truck plow to adapt to the tractors FEL.

- Modified the bucket by adding a top guard and hooks.

- Added custom built emergency light bar and strobe light to the top of the cab.

- Added L.E.D. strobe lighting to the rear of the snow blower and built custom boxes to house them in.

- Added custom build boxes to the plow so Super Nova L.E.D. strobe lights could be installed adding extra lighting to the FEL side on when plowing.

- Added a reverse beeper. (not a small task on these tractors)

- Added a reverse camera with a color 7" LCD monitor that is also inferred and has a built in microphone in the camera it's self. The camera was adapted to the top rear light making it appear that it was always there.

- Gauge pods were added to each side of the LCD monitor and an ambient air temperature and digital volt gauge was added to each pod.

- Two RAM mounts were added in the cab for mounting various items like my phone and MP3 recorder.

- A moisture sensing system was adapted to the wiper system so when I'm using the tractor the wipers will work automatically when snow or water is present on the windshields. That way I don't need to be switching the wipers on and off myself. The system takes care of that for me.

- Mud flaps were added to the front fenders to help keep the water off the front glass when traveling the machine.

- All common steel hardware that was present on the snow blower was replaced with stainless steel to prevent corrosion.

- Some custom badging and company lettering was added to the tractor.

- Custom trim was added to the rear fenders to give it a more refined look.

- The rear factory lollipop top lights that came with the tractor were replaced with L.E.D. lollipop lights.

- Added a few cool rubber holders on the snow blower to hold a shovel and bar. :D

Although there has been allot of stuff added to the machine you would never notice it at first glance. When I add or customize anything my goal is to make it look as if it's always been there. One guy said to me the other day who has a Cabbed Kubota " I'm going to order one of those light bars" I had to tell him that It's hand made and Kubota don't sell them. I now have to make one for him.

If there's anything that is of interest to you let me know and I'll add detailed photo's of it.

Here's some YouTube video's related to the tractor and the things I've done to it:

I dunno about pimping, but I added a toolbox attached to FEL and lightbar on rops for night work. both are a neccessity for me. Added a truck plow to the FEL arms. As far as pimping, I have a wish list.
wish list
-build a cab
-add heat
-add skid plate (bx's has broken fan history)

Thank you sir. Glad you like the items I've added. ;)

Long time no see Paul! Glad to see your post listing your mods.

My friend it's been so busy on my end I can't seem to find time for anything. I just get a quick look in a few times a week and then I have to move on. Great to know your still around here as well. I'll get back more often in a few weeks. Paul

Your skill in buildng this tractor up like you want it is outstanding. I see nothing about your work that I'd call 'pimping'. Your mods are all functional and add a great deal of safety margin to it's use.

You are to be commended and congratulated. Thank you for sharing.

Wow Jim. You made my day sir :) I appreciate your kind remarks on my work. I try and do it to the best of my abilities but the reason I post this stuff is because last year when I was looking for a tractor I relied on sites like this to help me make the right decisions and it was very much appreciated then as well as now so If I do something that may benefit others I try and post it. It's kind of like giving something back I guess.

When I read a response like yours well that's just icing on the cake and it was a great way to start my week. Thank you very much sir :D
