Just wondering if anyone has suggestions on raking pinestraw without ripping out the grass... growing up we used an old "hay rake" that was converted to be pulled behind a tractor (as opposed to horses). This always left me riding the hay rake while dad drove the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've looked at some of the landscape rakes, but they look likey they would rip the grass out too?

Any suggestions?

If $$ is not the critical item then check out Pine Straw Page . This came up a while ago and I thought it was pretty cool, but someone had stated that these little guys are a little pricey. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

That is very cool, I ran across that page a while back when searching for a "future" solution. Money is an issue, so that will probably rule it out... I only have 6.5 acers, and not all wooded...

Why are you wanting to remove the pinestraw? Are you going to use it somewhere else, sell it, or just to get it off the grass?

Get it off the grass, so it doesn't kill it. I'll either use it in some flower beds, giving it away, or burn it (probaby burn it).
