ya forgot the most common choice for diesel, black iron.

Some people have said, over the years, that galvanized fittings should not be used with diesel. I have never worried about it and don't know of any problems from using it.

Galvanizing is just a plated on or hot dipped layer of zinc over the base metal iron or steel. It might dissolve slowly into the fuel, I don't know.

Use copper, brass, iron or steel fittings and piping. Or use hose that is rated for fuel and brass barbed fittings. Use them together without fear of electrolysis, as fuel is not an electrolyte like water. Galvanized piping outside might be a better compromise than black iron because you won't have to paint it (except at the joints where some threads are showing).

Use pipe joint compound rated for fuels or teflon tape. Don't get any compound inside the pipe or even on the end of the pipe, only on the male threads. Don't over tighten joints using teflon tape. It is such a good lubricant that you can split a fitting before it feels tight.

For short term, non critical uses, Vinyl tubing works well too. It doesn't seem to be affected by diesel, but is not very strong or fire resistant. Never on a vehicle or for a permanent installation, or near heat. But for a fill hose on a can or a quick hookup for testing, it's fine. I've had pieces of it in service for years.
