i slip my keltec p32 or p3at into a ziplock baggy and then holster it.. ( comes with a zippered holster that goes on your belt.

the ziplock keeps dust, sweat and rain out. the holster is 100% positive retention..

Do you tell bad guys or aggressive animals to please wait a minute while I get my gun out of my dust proof baggy?

I'm more afraid if my gun wont fire with dirt rain or stuff on it... But I clean my carry every time I fire it, anytime it has been in the field and my 1911 almost weekly fired or not...

But lately the 1911 has been very hungry. Over 600 rounds in the 2 weeks....

yep.. i'f I'm caught walking in a downpour.. I don't want a waterlogged gun.. wet primers.. etc. most commercial ammo I see does NOT have sealed primers. you can of course get primer sealant. though.

I also don't wantto fall and roll down a dirt hill / embankment and come up with a pistol full of sand. I know ak's fire better after being dropped in the mud.. but not my gun.. :)

There is a nearby piece of property that harbors a band of criminals that a local LEO calls the most dysfunctional humans that he has ever encountered. The last time LEOs served a search warrant, they found stolen property ranging from a bull dozier to guns. (No one living on the premises could legally posses a firearm.) Seems they teach their young that meth is one of the seven basic food groups.

Now that sounds like parts of my rural area its bad isn't it!? I am armed at all times even when mowing in shorts I have a stainless steel .380 with a laser grip in my front pocket. I haven't lost it yet doing that but its always a possibility.

as usual, you make one sided assumptions.

'have to' and 'want' to are 2 different concepts.

Yup, I don't have to drive on the right side of the road but I want to because it is safer and you don't get as many tickets.

Just a thought? Google Zombie bullets and there are multiple websites in regards to the subject.

Ruger is even building a Zombie Killer .380 LCP with laser and all.

(For the life of me I cant get a link posted in this post but its out there if ya look. ;) )
