I had a bench top for a while, not very powerful but did the job OK but not practical for long lengths unless you'd bolt it to a sturdy base.

Later on I made a great garage find!
A GENERAL 16" HD real shop planer!
Now that is a production machine, downside it weighs 400 lbs but man, it chews thru wood like crazy.
I can remove 1/8th on a 12" oak board in one pass, LOL but the clean up is more work than planning is. (I did later rig a dust collector)

I have had my Geetech for about 20 years, it is a taiwan unit that is made for several other big names, when I bought it snipe was a big problem with a lot of names including dewalt.
I am not conversant with what is around today and we have a lot of names you have probably never heard of just as we don't know HF etc, I was simply pointing out the issue with snipe to bring it to peoples attention when looking.
Also with blades, I have nicked the blades which leaves a ridge, I simply offset the blades slightly to eliminate this but only for a small nick, next sharpen will remove it.

I see you are planing a cucumber! :laughing:

I think you have to go into 'manage attachments' under 'Go advanced' and then you can delete it. It's a bit clunky. You can't just delete the attachment in the text portion.
