plastic mulch

wife wants to expand her garden , i was thinking that a plastic mulch installer will be nice being that she is shooting for 1+acer, i have seen some in action, looks like one will be nice,so i have been doing some internet shurching, have found plenty of places to buy consumables, but not one place with the actual machine . so my question is, can a person find one new? any one have ever used one of them?any advice about the cost /value? thanks
