Got to use my BX2230 for the first time in the snow today. Woke up to a beautiful blanket of about 4"-5" of fresh snow with some drifts about 10" deep.

The little BX was quite impressive! The 4WD and bar tires did not slip a bit. I used the FEL and rear blade as a combo and it did a nice job on my asphalt drive. Can't wait for a real snowstorm so I can make some 6 foot high piles!

HMM! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif WE USUALLY GET YOUR WEATHER A FEW HOURS LATER, but not so today.

Very pretty with all that white stuff on the ground. Sure am glad that you didn't share it with us here in the East. I like the precipitation that we had a lot better. Much easier to deal with.... it just flows away... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I shoulda put that new rear blade on LAST weekend when I picked it up. Figured I'd take the long weekend to do it. Big mistake. Now I have 4" of snow with ice under it.

Good move on your part plowing.

Hey Bandaman,

We had it two hours before you did! Glad everything worked well.

Hey Bandaman, your set up looked like mine until this year. Here in the west, it would get so cold, that I would have to bundle up so thick, I could hardly turn my head to see behind me, I got real smart, bought a snow blower, now I was cold, as well as covered in snow. This year came the Curtis Cab, and now I sit and wait for the snow /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. I have a paved driveway and last year I built a shop/hanger, so I paved all around that too. I fly a chopper out of there, so I also clean the neighbors driveways, just to make sure they don't get any ideas about complaining. So far so good........but the add-ons get expensive.

What is the 3 point hitch type attachment at the front of the tractor? I have seen many cabs before, but nothing like what you have on the loader arms. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's a 3PH blade that I modified to go on the loader arms. I posted pics in another thread a while back, but here's a few more. I use the bucket cylinder to angle the blade.
