please help ford 4400 lift problem

hello my name is Dallas and i am new to this forum

I have a 4400 ford tractor and the 3 point lift only raises about half way then stops it is strong and will hold for about an hr after shutting engine off when it is raised and running the lift drops about 1 inch then goes right back to about half way point thanks in advance
