When you were moving the spool did it feel like there was any position when there was no spring resistance or a sudden change in resistance?

Does the float detent work properly?

I am not sure if the end of that cap is supposed to turn freely or not.
Yes it does feel sticky when we were pulling out on it like it loses tension.

From the video, it almost look like the spring and detent assembly is loose in the spool. I can tell there is play on the spool when it should be spring loaded.

At 0:27, you can see about 3 mm of movement, before there is actually a spring pulling back as the OP pulls out.
Playing the video back I can see what you're talking about. Is that something that can be fixed or the whole valve assembly has to be replaced?

Looking closer at the video, I'm thinking the entire problem lies on that spool cover (the part you grab and spin by hand).

There is something going on there and I'm thinking it may be broken. I don't think that collar should be spinning.

It may be fixable if parts are available.

I agree with PTSG in the problem appears to be in the centering spring can assembly area. Could be as simple as end cap is full of crud.

Maybe try loosening those two screws a little and shooting some penetrating oil inside that cover to see if it flushes something out.

Unfortunately Mahindra will not sell small parts to rebuild anything related to the valve body. They will only sell the entire assembly for $1,000+ . If thats what it comes down to then it will just have to keep doing what its doing

Yes, that's what I was afraid. The same applies for most other manufacturers.

Most of the times, people need to figure out the make and model of the valve and go that way, but even then, a lot of the valve manufacturers won't really sell individual parts.
