I"m guessing the neighbor with the VOM checked for voltage on the coil side of the relay, if not the relay is not yet condemned. I had a glow plug relay out on one that drove me nuts for over half an hour. YOu could turn on the glow plugs, get no voltage on the buss bar. but unplug the bus bar from the relay and have 12 volts. The contacts were allowing voltage to pass, but no amperage, with any load, the voltage was dropping to almost zero. Replacing the relay solved the problem.

Would all of this apply to a CK20 as well? Went to start my tractor saturday and all I got was this slight clicking sound, glow plug light came on and went off like the glow plugs were cycling. Checked battery voltage and have 12.6 volts across the terminals as well as from the point were the the ground bolts to the frame to the pos side. If this relay is the problem where would a feller find it?

unhappy, Put the Battery on a charger for a few hours. In my experience just because the voltage tests "ok" doesn't mean the battery has the amperage to turn the starter over.

Yup, have to agree w/Toad. If the solenoid is clicking but the starter not engaging the flywheel with enough juice(amperage) to spin over the motor, give your battery a boost. I'd also check the battery connections, re-tighten/clean as necessary. My Negative was slightly loose, but still connected and my results sounded just like yours, glow plugs, all other indiot lights on and starter just clicking. Not enough juice, retightened connection good to go. A weak battery would do the same thing.

Good luck.
