i have a dk35 gear drive

tranny in neutral
3pt hitch in neutral (draft controls thingys)
clutch depressed (me too alittle)
plenty of gas
battery fine, terminals connected tightly, ground cleaneded and reattached to frame.
kill switch push in.
all wires appear to be attached firmly
all fuses in fuse box to left (near clutch pedal) are fine

had battery tested under load, its fine

where is the slow burn fuse i see mentioned in the manual....me thinks its the culprite or the keyed switch.

The slow blow is right next to the starter it is usually rapped in black tape, it will be pink or yellow or light green it has a clear glass on it to where you can see the electrodes it.
If you don't mind pm me your phone number and I will call you right back.
I am not at my shop right now but I can get you started.
I really don't think the slow blow is your problem.
How old is your machine?
Rick

PROBLEM SOLVED

my secretary's husband is a diesel mechanic...and a super nice guy.

long story short she tells him my tractor is giving me problems, he comes over with just his 12v tester thing and diagnosises it as a bad starter relay (the glow plug relay also appeared to be bad as they are the same relay) when he manuallly activated the starter relay by pressing the leaf down the tractor started up.

so tomorrw i will try NAPA (car parts store in the area) for two relays and then cross my fingers.

thanks again for all the suggestions. and especially wallace for the incredible offer.

Can anyone describe what the Leaf referred to is???

the leaf is a tiny little leaf spring (copper) inside the relay itself.....

Also it could be corrision in the main wire harness plug that happened to me twice this summer. Also if your NAPA is like mine here there Relays are only a temp fix they cant handle the juice.

Thank you for the description of the "leaf"...makes sense!

Im thinking ignition switch, but keep us posted.
Manually activating a relay and getting an effect does not always mean a relay is bad. For a relay to function they have powers and grounds needed to close those contacts.
