Please help the new 755 Owner

I think Deere has first class manuals... bar none...

I guarantee... you'll be impressed if you've never owned any before... you may also consider the servicing CD for about $65. which covers many models and pieces of equipment... all for one price... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just saw it on eBay too. I probably can't stop my order, but I may try in the morning. I guess I also need to check if it is the right manual for my serial number. I need to learn to ask my questions and then wait a few days for all the responses to come in. Thanks anyway.

They aren't as proud as New Holland is: ~$200 for parts & tech manuals.

Wow! That is a lot. I actually talked to the eBay seller and he is sending me the official JD Tech, Operator and Parts Manuals for my 755 for $40 plus $12 shipping. I called JD and cancelled my other order. So, I got more manuals at a much better price, and the only thing I may have to eat is $8 shipping from JD, in case they can't cancel the order and I have to refuse shipment when it arrives from UPS.

Hey, I still have not heard from anyone about a FEL for my 755. Should I go with JD, or is there a good aftermarket?

Can you still get a JD loader? The 755 is an older model right? I'd ask your dealer for a quote.

Plenty of good aftermarket loaders out there. This is often a hot topic of discussion.

Aftermarket loaders typically are less expensive than the OEM. The OEM's may "fit better" - not interfere with MMM etc. and mount / dismount quicker. Often the aftermarkets have increased capacity. This could be a good thing or a bad. This is what gets argued here when the topic comes up. Good- you can lift more. Bad- greater possibility of damaging tractor due to overwork. I say possibilty because it all depends on how hard you use it. Several folks here have aftermarket with 0 problems. I can't remember anybody breaking their tractor. It is a personal choice. Talk to your dealer, he's the one that is going to stand behind his recommendation.

The loader model 70 is the one for your 755...not to be confused with the 70A which will not work on a 755. I don't know if they are still available, but a call to JD will answer that one.

Actually the #70 loader was not made for the 755, although it will fit. The #52 loader was made for the 755 and where it is 2wd I would stick with the lighter loader. I used to own a 755 and put many happy hours on it. JD made several loaders for the 55 series, #51 for the 655, #52-755, #67-855 and #70 for the 955.
