Do you have a front end loader on your unit? The reason I ask, units I have seen with the aux MMM lift installed have had the decal illustrated on page 4 of the PDF file supplied by JD110 replaced with one that has six (6) listed hoses connections instead of four.

I too am often apprehensive of a "kid" as a mechanic. But....I gotta remember that I was at one time the new kid on the block too...and green as grass. New mechanics likely start with jobs like this....you gotta start somewhere. Still....puts a fear in you sometimes. I'm glad he had the instructions this time. He's learning!

well the "kid" brought the tractor back to me today and when he left I pulled it into the garage and slid under it to have a look...sure enough I found all 3 clamps that hold the hose to the frame loose ..the nut on all 3 was just barely started like he forgot about them...also found that the cylinder was rubbing on the bracket the pin goes through...he forgot to install the supplied washer to space it out....after I fixed all this everything seems to work like it should....now the real question is will I like having to swap hoses when I mow ....I'll know this week ...at least he gave me the mechanical lift arm and all the hardware that connects to the rear rockshaft so if I don't like this hydraulic lift I can take it off and change it back to the mechanical lift..... I cant complain if I don't like the lift...the dealer gave it to me for free and its easy to take off and change back....:)

McGill,
What I found was that the deck dropped over time with the hydraulic lift and it seemed I was always tapping the lever to bring it back up.

well after about 2 hours of the independent hydro lift on im taking it off and going back to the mechanical lift......its a REAL pain having to switch hoses when the loader is on and need to take the deck off......heres the steps I had to take........lower loader to reliever pressure, unhook loader hose, connect hydro lift hose to lower the deck, unhook deck pins, raise arms to up position, lock arms in place with deck height knob, relieve pressure on hose again, unhook deck lift hose, reconnect loader hose , raise loader up to drive off deck.........:confused2:...

I had the loader off and got done mowing and went to put the loader back on without removing the deck first so I could put the deck in the loaders place in the garage.... :)...kinda like playing musical chairs/attachments......

im in the process of building onto the garage just for the tractor and attachments so I should have more space soon....

I feel your pain:D
Thats why I bought the tlb and a separate tractor for 3pt work without a fel on it. Mine have lived outside for most of their lives, but soon will have my new shop too.

Certainly if you can cover the cost, that's the way to go. Two tractors gives you much less hassle moving things around.
